I liked "Is this real life??"
And screw you guys for posting the gardening on salvia type movies, I stayed up half the night watching people trip on salvia on youtube.
Watching people trip is definitely entertaining, depending on the drug of course. Watching hardcore DXM trips is hilarious (I don't take anywhere near that much when I do it).
I like this guy: YouTube - guy on dxm
no way you could compare it to smoking, this stuff is sounding pretty intense, even if it is just for a short time. at least you can function properly on weed.
wouldn't take it anywaylast time i took LSD at 18 when the Brady bunch movie came on TV freaked me out enough to never take drugs again, lol
Just be safe with it I guess, it's really not worth it in the long run.
As for the DMT there is a ton of guides to extract it really easily at home from plants, Erowid has a ton of them. Or you could check this site out
So Pike Place Market doesn't sell it.
Gotta find another place somewhere downtown.
Yeah, I am. My doses are usually very low, it's more like something to make the pot and the morning glories more interesting.
Thanks, I will have to check that out. I am a little worried about ordering the plants but everything I've read has said there is only a tiny, tiny chance your package will get stopped and even less that they will actually prosecute you, since the plants aren't technically illegal.
<3 Erowid so much.
I did salvia once about 5 years ago. It was some insane shit. I'll describe what happened to me.
First things started spinning.. but not how things normally spin. It was like I was falling backwards forever. I was laughing uncontrollably. I have never laughed that hard in my life. As the spinning got faster everything went black. I no longer had a body. I was floating around in darkness. I saw what seemed to be a filing cabinet or card catalog of various memories from my past in the form of photographs. Every time I picked one up, I relived the memory. This seemed to be an eternity. I started to wonder If i would find the picture of the reality I came from and if that really was the real world. What would happen if i couldn't find it? Would I become stuck in another reality? As I was looking for the picture I heard voices saying to wiggle my fingers. It was then I realized I didn't have any. I finally figured out how to wiggle them and thats when i started to come to again. As it wore off The spinning came back and I found myself in the same room as i came from with all of my friends laughing their asses off watching me unknowingly move around and flail my arms around.
All of this happened in about 5 minutes. Afterwards is a relaxing body high.
Was it fun? Hell yes. Would I suggest it to anyone else? meh if you want to experience some fucked up shit. Would i do it again? Not in a hurry to.
While I knew then that this was going to become illegal, I just dont see how or why anyone would use this on a regular basis.
As far as me? I've done just about every drug in my past (except anything you have to inject), but never did any regularly. Hell in my hayday i bought a dime-bag of weed. It took me -6 months- to go through it all. I'm FAAAAR from a druggie, but not afraid to try something once and make my own opinion of it.
Sounds like a hell of a fun trip, but again, I'm super into physics, and I love the sound of that shit.
Hint: that's more how time actually is than we see it, a filing cabinet of photos, each photo containing a Now.
Found a place that sells this stuff, gonna head there after work and see how much it costs. If it's cheap I'll snatch some up and entertain with posts.
As far as I understand it, you won't be posting while on the shit.
I'll try my damndest to.
Getting skag is easier than getting salvia apparently. The place I went to (a fucking flower shop @ Pike Place Market) only sells the actual PLANT. So I'd have to.. "harvest" it, or whatever, to even smoke it.
Lurn2botonist plz?
I smoked Salvia on several occasions in the past and i havent had nothing but good trips on it. The very first time i tried it I had literally uncontrolable laughter, and i could have sworn i actually felt my Aura lol. Also unlike being high off of marijuana having the TV on just annoyed and irritated me.
Having music on and turning off the lights really helps the trip, but some soothing type music not death metal or anything like that lol. I halucinated somewhat but it wasnt scary or anything. Just seeing halos on people and some dude i thought was looking at me from behind a car.
The wierd thing is that all except for one other person who have tried it have all gone on VERY bad trips. One of my friends really thought we were planning on murdering him and he started freaking out.
I think maybe if you have some underlying issues, or some bad shit in your subconcious maybe this is what makes you go on the bad trip, but thats prob just the hippy in my talking lol.
Overall i say everyone should try it AT LEAST once, while its still legal.
I did this twice so far and probably won't do it again... Both times I had the exact same trip on 20x Purple Haze, and I saw something which can only be explained as the edge of reality.
My field of vision got cut up into really thin slices and was skimmed through like a flip book. Each slice of the circle field of vision layering on the next. As these "slices of reality" were moved I would get a glimpse of the void of nothingness in the background. All this while feeling physical pain. When all the layers were moved in the circle (clockwise) the trip ended and I blacked in on the floor (My friends said I was rolling around, I thought I was just sitting there.) feeling like I had just done a line of coke.
The second time which was two days ago I had the same trip but something was different. I forced myself out of the trip about 3/4 through the circle by screaming. I came to and left the basement, but something wasn't right.. I still felt like I could start tripping and finish the circle if I went back down to the basement where everyone was wondering if I was ok lol. For the rest of the night I avoided the basement. >.>;
If you want to mess with it on Long Island you can get it in Nassau, its illegal in Suffolk. Never doing that shit again. I will honestly say that if you could emulate dying... Salvia is it.
EDIT: Omg I just remember why I was screaming... At one point the layers stopped moving at 3/4 circle and I was about to fall into the abyss. That which is seen cannot be unseen.
Somewhat unrelated, but Glenn Greenwald's study of decriminalization in Portugal is pretty much an eye opener.
Last Friday at the Cato Institute, I presented my study on the success of drug decriminalization in Portugal. I wrote about how and why I worked on this report here, and the report itself is available to read or download here. At Friday's event, I presented the report's findings in a 30-minute presentation; a long-time skeptic of drug decriminalization -- University of Maryland Criminology Professor Peter Reuter of the School of Public Policy -- commented on the report; I then responded to his commentary, and that was followed by a question-and-answer session. The video of the full event is now online here.
Whatever else is true, the empirical evidence leaves no doubt that Portuguese decriminalization has been a resounding success, so much so that even Professor Reuter conceded that decriminalization achieved its policy goals and produced none of the bad results which decriminalization opponents warned about. Scientific America's Brian Vastag attended the Cato event and then wrote this article:Video of the presentation here:In 2001, Portugal became the only EU-member state to decriminalize drugs, a distinction which continues through to the present. Last year, working with the Cato Institute, I went to that country in order to research the effects of the decriminalization law (which applies to all substances, including cocaine and heroin) and to interview both Portuguese and EU drug policy officials and analysts (the central EU drug policy monitoring agency is, by coincidence, based in Lisbon). Evaluating the policy strictly from an empirical perspective, decriminalization has been an unquestionable success, leading to improvements in virtually every relevant category and enabling Portugal to manage drug-related problems (and drug usage rates) far better than most Western nations that continue to treat adult drug consumption as a criminal offense.
Drug Decriminalization in Portugal (Cato Institute: Policy Forum)
One key point is that decriminalization of all drugs is pretty much a net benefit as opposed to the prohibition stance most Western nations have. From reading that and watching the video i pretty much would agree with total decriminalization.
