I was on insurance as I mentioned but didn't resign the package because it was shipped to the wrong address and got kicked of. But it doesn't cover Suboxone I have to make less then 20 or unemployed.

Yeah, like I said earlier Suboxone is INCREDIBLY expensive and most insurance doesn't cover it. To give you an idea, it's about $4.00-8.00 per pill. Maybe half that for the generic version. I think it might be a little more than those numbers tho.

Well I think if you can consider the walk-back-in-tomorrow-was-kidding you should try it - nothing to lose and will at least buy yourself time while you job search.

You're not going to get unemployment for quitting. And you're not going to find another job remotely close to 70k in 2009 having no reference in your current position (presumably)...

Best of luck whatever you do, you're obviously in a rough situation on many fronts - can you move in w/parents and shoot for Medicaid? And depending on your age/debt bankruptcy might not be so terrible - the stigma after this recession/depression has got to be less.

Were you ever in a position where you were addicted to an opiate/opioid and ended up taking Suboxone? Because while some of your statement is true, Suboxone alone will not fix the problem(meaning you can't just take it an expect to be cured of your addiction.) it helps TREMENDOUSLY on the road to recovery.

I sure wish I could walk away from a 70k/yr job and come brag about it on the internet.

gee lemme think.. I was on Suboxone for 3 years so I would say my answer would be absolutely

and fyi in treatment centers they can avoid ANY physical withdrawal cravings from a hardcore heroin user with a 2 week suboxone plan that takes a total of 7 suboxone tablets. Doctors that prescribe it (ex. they started me on 60 a month) are just a money racket

Well were you doing anything to be proactive in kicking your habit for those three years besides just taking your Suboxone? Do you even know how it works? And in treatment centers you aren't just given Suboxone 7 times and that's it, there is a ton of other things that go into it. I'm assuming you checked yourself into one, what program did you go through if you don't mind me asking?

i feel for ya null, i know how expensive medicine can get. one of the treatments i tried for Crohn's cost about $6000 per infusion, and i needed an infusion once a month. add that on to the cost of paying the hospital for the use of their personnel, etc, and it got pretty fucking expensive. fortunately, i was still on my dad's insurance, which covered half that, and Mayo themselves covered most of the rest of it since i was still a minor. null, if the meds youre on arent getting whatever you have under control, you should ask your doctor about any clinical trials that are available. you get paid to test meds that usually help at least a little. its how ive survived without getting buried in debt.

also, in regard to the suboxone argument, many medicines vary in effectiveness from person to person. what didnt work for you might be a lifesaver for someone else.

Explain what you mean in being proactive in taking suboxone? If you mean you were in one of those suboxone clinics that make you go to meetings and give you the dose when you go to your mandatory meeting/session.. is the only way I can think you mean being proactive in taking it. Or perhaps you mean going to meetings/working the program while taking it (which should be done without taking jack shit). And you ask if I know how the drug works, ..yes I know how it works, it isn't a rocket science/breakthrough drug.. stupid question (no offense). And you ask what program I went to. It was a standard 28 day treatment facility with detox. Unless you want the location .. which I dunno why you would, I'd pm you that. I assume you take it atm.. (with the way you are so gung-ho miracle drug about it) more power to you and I hope you do well, just when you stop taking it don't think it is all rainbows and lucky charms.

Could also learn to meditate. I know for me it really helps keep me sane after a hard days work in a starbucks cafe with shitty bosses and mosty irritating customers with only a few kind regulars to brighten the day.

I know that after practicing it, and not even on a rigid scale, just once in a while when im bored and need it, that im much better at dealing with pain, stress, and stuff that normally knocks you off your happy place in general. perhaps you could try that along with whatever other actions you take to help? its not like its time consuming, being a mental exercise you can do it whenever you got a few minutes free or the like. :3

No, I don't take it and never have. But I've been addicted to opiates/opioids and I've got a few close friends who have taken it with great success (I've also taken a lot of pharmacology/psycho-pharmacology courses, I'm finishing up my 3rd year of premed and I'm currently an EMT) What I mean by being proactive in taking it, is you can't just expect it to do all the work as I'm sure you know. Getting clean takes far more than that. I went a different route in getting myself clean rather than checking myself into rehab. The only reason I'm so "Gung-ho miracle drug" about it, is because I've seen it work quite well on quite a few different people.

Sounds like you'd be perfect for a management position at Pfizer. Get working on that resume.
This. 1,000x this. Seems like you should spend less time online and more time trying to fix things on your own. Good thing your mom is there to possibly save your ass.

    You missed a valid point.

After I handed out most the checks I got some time to get up and I went into the break room to get some food from the party...only issue was, all the fucking food was ate. I went and asked my boss if he saved me any and he told me that I should've come in sooner. At this point I was about to blow because he was the fucking reason I hadn't been in sooner.
    NO FOOD = NO WORK
