Now if you hadn't said this then you might have able to justify somewhat your reasons for not owning a haub +1. As you are waiting on E body you should own a haub +1 until then, any time your accuracy is uncapped with Ares body the extra accuracy from a haubergeon is a huge amount of damage when related to cost.

As for the whole RR vs KJ debate, I haven't parsed anything on war for a while, but it has pretty much all the gear besides the really high end HQs and bravura. I haven't been able to discern any real difference in average just by very limited sample sizes and on a wide variety of targets within each parse, so until people start posting some real evidence I'm not going to make any broad sweeping statements like KJ > RR.

I'm sure there will be arguements based on no real evidence but to give an example of how you can argue it every which way:

Arguement 1:RR will do better than KJ on merit level targets in comparison to high level ones, as you will be able to approach +50 dDEX granting a large crit bonus on a crit based WS.

Arguement 2: RR will do better than KJ on higher level targets as the damage gained from a crit compared to a noncrit is a much larger % (lower pdif).

lemme see if i can get a hold of aztech. he was the one that did all the parsing in our merit ptys. i only have a 1 parse saved showing 1150 averages of KJ when i got my 8/8 gaxe and another when i just capped gaxe in a merit pty with a 900 average lol. but that doesnt mean anything when i cant show my averages of RR lol. just to re-iterate. they're both monstrous WS's. i just had better luck with KJ is all. i know plenty of ppl who had better luck with RR, im just not one of them.

maybe PNL can post some. he still plays and doesnt have to dig deep to look for parses like my lazy ass does lol. (cmon peacenlove, tell us your experience~)

WS sets were the same across the board just swapped in the correct sea torque, i used warrior stone while aggresor was down, warwolf while up, all spellcast driven.

no food, no dia, march, minuet, corsair/ranger rolls just some scrub party I thru my flag up for.

I've always parsed KJ higher than RR in a lengthy party. But then again, my experience is limited to Jade camp with 2brd or brd+cor eating meat (usually Hedgehog Pie, +90atk). Needless to say, the there is a big KJ advantage in these parties with such high pDIF, especially with Berserk on ~75% of the time, and mobs' AGI values fluctuated much more greatly than at bird camp. It's surprising how well RR keeps up though. I posted this in What's Better recently:

This is typical of what I'd see with some extensive use of both WSs. Sure 50 vs 154 isn't exactly equal, but it's the best I could come up with. Most of my parses were using DirectParse, which lumps all WS damage together, but a friend that got into Kparser early would tell me averages for each, and KJ would be up by anywhere from 50-150.

I pretty much only use RR when pDIF isn't favorable, e.g. I'm missing a minuet/chaos, berserk is down, or when I know dDEX is very favorable, i.e. on puks. And this is how I think these two should be used to keep overall average WS damage at a maximum. KJ does very well in the latter situation as well, but my highest ever non-2hr WS was a 2276 RR on a puk with berserk down, so I always try to reproduce that lol.

In really low pDIF situations like JoL or Dynamis-Xarc NMs, RR does better. Killkenny's argument 2 pretty much sums it up.

Even assuming full merits, your RR set is barely capped, and still 30 or more accuracy under what would be consistent accuracy on another higher level than birds.

My WAR is far from optimal and I wasn't trying to imply that it was anything above mediocre, I was simply posting my set to show that it's the set I use when I parse, and with that set I see KJ doing consistently 50-80 more on average than RR.

I think it's entirely possible that a WAR with a heavy DEX set will see better numbers from RR. I'm not sure. But, I know I get better results (and others too, like Richardd) from KJ.

Nigga please, the Acc in that gear set is 392, plus 16 from merits would cap on birds, cap is 407 and 392+16=408. That is ignoring fucking +25 Accuracy for 70% of the time!

With Pizza+1 which is cheap and easy as shit to buy off the AH, which I would use for mobs past birds it looks like this: FFXIGEAR.com OH SUP 435 Accuracy PLUS FUCKING 16 AND +25 for 70% of the time yeah it fucking caps on everything bar Lurkers.

I think it is going to boil down to shit is situational but from since KJ come out doing merits, Dynamis, Limbus, Einherjar, Salvage, Nyzul Isle etc I could not make KJ do more.

Also if you change Alky's and Triumph Earring in for WS you will be capped Accuracy on Birds with Aggressor up (70% of the time for me personally), sure use Heca with it down.
