I'm sure as fuck I could solo that ENM without Ethereal, this is dumb.

It's a safety crutch such that you don't have to worry about MP or resting to much during the ENM itself. It's a safety crutch when you do solo. It's a pool of available MP you negate yourself to when you merit cause you decided the hollow earring 3-4 extra acc over and assault earring, or potential ACP/Sky/VOS augmented earring, was better.

I'm not saying Hollow earring is god, neither are amazing but I want Hollow Earring (have Ethereal, don't need it) and I'm sure many other people will take it for DRG that do not solo. I am happy for you if you enjoy soloing but you are not a poor DRG if you do not, you play how you want to play.

You rather maximize your overabundance of acc in another slot instead of getting something that adds utility to a job. You pointed this out yourself. I don't need to add anything to the argument. Your right people play the jobs how they want to. It just doesn't make sense, to me, to give up something like that for a job that's all about utility and being a hybrid instead of another DD who just hit things with their sword(/polearm/greataxe/axe/greatkatana/h2h).

Okay...then I'm still confused...how does casting a spell with the same elemental magic as weather grant you acc+30? Do you get it the split second you cast it? or does it give you an acc buff? If its earth weather and you cast stoneskin, does it last for the duration stoneskin lasts? Or maybe I'm just not understanding the actual trigger?

I fear this is going to be a 'you nub' moment for me, but the way it reads makes no sense to me! (lulz)

I said that if you use Pizza+1s (a Gungir DRG could use Red Curry/buns etc) and we are talking about Gungnir's (+20 Accuracy) here, maybe 0.01% of DRG 75s? You are trying to force the way you use DRG onto me here, I don't need to solo DRG as I'm sure MOST don't, I don't need to sub WHM for low man Limbus etc.

DRG solo is about as rare as a SAM with a Hagun, DRG soloing/healing is pretty well accepted and used, at least as far as my server, I tend to see a lot soloing DRG side if not in parties. Honestly your really the only one that I've heard from that doesn't enjoy or use it to any degree.

Just for fun, Just to fill up a little of that xp bar, exploring, there are plenty of reasons even if not specifically for xp. You can still solo while seeking, better than sitting doing nothing. It's not like the xp from soloing is bad either, not 32k/hr, but it's much better from the average grind and just hitting the WS button over and over.

I don't find it fun personally, again that is your opinion and playstyle. I also only make merit/exp parties when I search for seeking members and see enough to make one, I don't seek for parties, maybe you do and that is your playstyle.

It doesn't make you a bad DRG if you don't solo. You're just choosing to ignore an aspect of the job that makes it incredibly versatile and, imo, what makes it interesting in the first place.

Just saying what the new guy said, I played DRG originally cus it looks the best but I play it now for the damage aspect now I have so many other jobs. I didn't find the solo part interesting, it's cool if you want to play a Massive Multiplayer Online game alone but I do not see the point.

When SE usually puts tags on something (like "Campaign:") doesn't that mean everything after that tag is triggered during that situation.

I guess the part I'm confused on is what does

SE meant the later. If you look at Laevateinn (BLM) it has the same Acc+30 Macc+10 MAB+20. Therefore the MAB, Acc, and Macc are fulltime. If you cast the same element of the weather you are in, you get -20 Enmity as a bonus. The way that the item descriptions are set up is that there is only room for 37-40 bytes/characters per line (6 lines max, name, type, and level/jobs are coded separately in the .DAT block), so the "Same elemental magic as weather" bit got wrapped around to the next line and made it seem that you also get the other bonuses only with weather, but that is not true.
