Well back in the day it was 1,000,000 for a glass / 64 people thats 15626 a person with the shot of receiving gear again looks good on paper, have to remember its square we're talking about .....
I don't think they intended on players selling coins for 4x the glass fee with groups as little as 5 going into dynamis zones for profit.
Their foresight doesn't go past the end of their nose.
Why would they expect the cost of dynamis would determine the value function of dynamis currency? That is not how economics works anywhere with the single exception of govermment controlled monopolies (re: special cases.)
In open markets, or even ones that have quasi open processes, the selling price of the output (price / demand curve) is determined by how people value it relative to to all other competing goods and services in the economy.
The cost of dynamis might determine how many people go to dynamis, which will impact supply and thus help determine where currency rests on the price / demand curve. But the cost of dynamis doesn't decide where the price / demand curve sits relative to all other items in the economy.
Dynamis currency sells for the same price it would if there was the same supply and the cost of dynamis was either 1 million gil or free.
I agree with Vodou. In fact, currency went up in price after the glass price was reduced to 500k from 1m. There was more of a demand on currency after this occurred due to many more people opting to attempt a relic upgrade, so many more people were buying currency.
It's still funny to me how some people thought the prices would go down and the exact opposite happened.
Yeah. To be honest I even thought they would go down.
vodou is adam smith irl
miss u qt
He has Aegis too but that is just a JP social LS, might do Salvage and stuff.
Regarding Kohra Apoc, there should be a priority system in gear i'd think, and a relic would come after ... a good base of general gear.
Saw the ws go off and didn't know what it was so I looked it up. Interesting.
