You could say that pretty much every relic has a couple of poorly equipped people on every server even if they are. I mean have you ever been in party with Mckun or Maxwell or whoever has one on seraph to know they suck using it? I doubt it. I'm pretty sure they have better gear and play it better than your dragoon.

Albeit, in town, he's wearing not-dusk-gloves, and CC, understandable. But, he is also wearing Wyrm Belt, haste wru? And I'm assuming that's for TP, Why use Iota? I know askar korazin can be a bitch to get, but he's not even attempting to get a 5/6-hit build (I know he's /whm). Along with lacking the haste on turban, and Blitz. He's had relic for a while, so where the hell is a Love torque/Forager's mantle? They aren't even hard to get. As Mythe said, the guy is like afk 24/7.

As far as Mckun is concerned, I thought he quit the job/game, so clearly Grift would have better gear then him?
I'm not insulting the player's ability, I'm merely talking about their gear.

I usually ran around/stood around in 4/5 wyrm (left w.legs on) or 4/5 crimson with b.mask just because I liked being a bright blue/red galka. All rare/ex accessories as well, including wyrm belt on drg instead of s.belt. I have town gear macros for all my jobs that do shit like that.

So it's possible some of that stuff is there just for kicks. Though with that kind of mix he has...idk. Hard to tell if he'd actually be using all that shit. Go merit with him and report back!

In the end I'm still jealous. I always wanted a gungnir, but I always wanted a bravura and apoc as well and couldn't decide. So I just gave up all together, lol.

I used a Polearm from like 25 to 32 on WAR cus I got my DRG to 50 and needed to do my sub some more, little did I know then that Mandragora were weak to piercing anyway!

I have actually played with Mckun on several occassions, and he is a great player. His DRG however, is complete crap. Maxwel, I have never seen actually playing, he is perpetually AFK.

I've seen Maxwel out solo'ing a time or two, and it's one of those situations where he's using gear as SE intended. Which is to say...well, decide for yourself. Lots of wyvern buffing (AF1(+1)/AF2(+1)), etc. It's been a while since I've seen him do anything though, this is - at best - several months back. Possibly longer. Personally, I don't think it's the way to gear yourself for solo'ing on drg, but I digress.

Personally I just find the whole thing strange how your sitting on BG criticizing peoples gear when your drg had nothing amazing. You pretty much had none of the stuff your criticizing people for not having. Not too long ago (before you got banned) you were 75BRD/17WHM.

Just throwing the disclaimer out there that my initial interest on this particular topic was merely to mention "Mythe" and "rubbing his nipples" in the same breath. Because it's still one of the funnier moments I remember from my early-in-the-game memories.

I may have mentioned it a sentence after I mentioned Iota, but I said "Blitz Ring". I'm not criticizing him for for not having Toreader's, but for not gearing correctly. As for me not having the gear? So what. If you wear Amemet with relic, I'm going to criticize you; if you have far too much accuracy while sacrificing haste, i'm going to criticize you, same deal. As for the gimped whm sub, I had recently gotten the job to 75 (I absolutely hate levelling whm), along with the hatred of playing brd at the time caused me to lax on my gimp subs. Anything else you would like to say, zub?

Idk why ppl keep saying that You pay 120M for relic...

You can:
a) get it sponsored by LS for points, and that cost You nothing
b) get it by sponsoring a dynamis 1 a week ( 2 ppl Sponsor for example ) In that case You need to farm 2M per month for which you dont need to get 15m/month like ppl who pay 120M on bazzars. So after You got relic You would need to farm like 1 year almost to buy for example dusk+1.

Some ppl have skills in job and spend all the time on events or helping friends and if they get relic, they usually get it by 2 methods above. For those ppl 20M for addicional gear can be very hard to get.

+22 Natural and +20 from the relic for a total of +42. Add on top of that the acc bonus change from 2H weapons basically means you can give up acc in some slots for other pieces if you are at or near the cap.

If the person isn't getting a loan for the last 3k of the 10k, they should be selling the currency they get back from upgrading relic to upgrade gear pieces if they haven't done so already.

Quality gear isn't always the absolute most uber. A warrior with Bravura using NQ dusk and a haubergeon+1 over an adaman hauberk and dusk+1 isn't going to bother me. Should he be -working- at getting those things? Hell mother fucking yes. Am I going to condemn him for having Bravura before those things? God no. Especially not if he funded himself.

Now, inversely, a warrior with Bravura using AF2 hands and an NQ haubergeon or Askar in an incorrect fashion or some such? Now that's a problem.

I agree whole heartidly. Our LS has denied a few people that wanted relic because they would never use the weapons to their full potential (we actually had someone toss all his gear in dismay because of this).

If an LS is going to put all that effort into one single item, it better be going to someone who knows what to do with it, and this goes way beyond having the best gear for said job. The player better be top knotch, otherwise the relic is going to be useless.
