Possibly an aesthetic desire- since this was snapped versus set up, if you look at the char model standing at the AH I have to say I like the overall visual scheme :D

The SMN clearly isn't in any particular gear set in that screenshot, at least I hope not. Every item he's wearing potentially has a purpose - the earrings would be used for max MP (and hMP in the case of the Antivenom), the neck could be a Bull Necklace for show or an augmented Beak Necklace, the belt is obviously max MP, the pants are probably Yigit (hMP and aesthetics) and everything else has obvious functions.

That's weird, I've never seen Ayuayu, but Milene, on the same server, has Burtgang and Aegis and the same model/hair. Seems to do a lot of campaign.

Parses and stuff

I'd like to point out two things in your parses that coincide with what Neoex and I were both saying. First off, 1) you won the parse in any situation where you were actually allowed to DD fully. Secondly, 2) the only parse that you didn't win on was Tiamat, in which you were likely switching gear every time he flied (notice you have almost no weaponskill damage whatsoever).

It should be obvious to anyone that at least half of the PLD's damage is going to come from Atonement. So, yes, it's no surprise that SAM can outparse PLD on Tiamat and Khimaira because you're losing TP so often (gear swaps on Tiamat and Tenebrous Mist on Khimaira). But in the situations where you were allowed to fulltime DD, you always won.

It's confusing to me how you only did ~1500-2000 damage with Atonements (that's basically three Atonements) in an entire Tiamat and Ultima fight but whatever.

Yea, I imagine he probably wasn't able to get TP fast enough before having to switch to Hrotti/Numinous Shield +1/Cerberus Bow +1. As for Ultima... no clue.

also like i said earlier. i posted a parse where an excal was DD'ing to win. he was TPing in homam which has plenty of HP/acc and and 26% haste in gear itself when he subbed /drg. and still came 3rd of 4th on mobs like JoL. he had all the freedom in the world to do whatever he wanted and still didnt come close to high tier none-relic DDs lol. but dont get me wrong. i thought it was cool for the most part. he never pulled hate once. me and the other sam would pull hate all the time. i would have to gimp my dmg and sub thf so i can sata the drgs . the parse is somewhere in this thread. but i dont know how to look for anything specific
