    That would be very odd since the relic WS aftermath effects activate prior to the WS actually going off. I look forward to your testing as always <3.

    Quick question about the Nagi: Can Mijin even do decent damage on end game mobs for this to be worthwhile? If so, it could be useful for the tall end of a zerg?

    I've done 1200 do Jorm and Tiamat without even really putting a lot of effort into maximizing damage...I mean thats not ofmgwtf damage...but it aint bad, and plenty of room for improvment.

    I dunno, NIN can still tank just fine..just takes more effort and work. Pretty sweet Ninja, too bad SE is lame as fuck and the damage/delay is the only thing that stays with offhand mythic/relic. Pretty nifty for tanking though. Worth the price tag? Maybe not...but nothing that expensive really is.

    I don't think it will DA on the initial 300% WS. Even though I am sure the Icon comes up when you WS at 300%, you have to wait for the animation to finish to receive the benefits from Aftermath. I think that this is done so that when you are at AM1 and you are about to do AM2, you still receive the Acc bonus during the WS, and then get the Att bonus after the WS is complete. The same could be said when going from AM2 -> AM3, you get the att bonus during the WS, but then double attack activates after the WS itself.

    Also, I wouldn't doubt that SE only made it the first hit of a WS that is eligible for the AM3 bonus since they decided that only one fist from MNK Mythic could receive the DA bonus. Following this logic, we could assume that the COR (Cor/Rng) and RNG weapons would only count the first hit as "Occasionally deals Double Damage" when firing off Barrage.

    i think SE should seriously think about making NIN's dual wield an exception for offhand relic penalty

    or fix kikoku's quest and give us 2 kikoku after completing dynamis relic(like AF1)

    or 2 nosepicks

    or nvm perdu does provide a pretty good functionality to a relic

    I still have no clue why SE won't reward people who have the time/gil to get two relics by letting them dual wield with all bonuses. Suppose that isn't fair to 2H users though...

    Nice work on the Nagi. I'm glad that the enhancement wasn't just another measly boost in damage like Reaction Arm.

    I think it´s a game technical problem. They prolly cheat the system already enough by adding WSes to weapons. So making it possible to have both weapons active would require them to do some work... that would only benefit a handful of people.

    Then again even creating some of those mythics will every only benefit very few people...

    I like the augment really, just have Reraise on all the time in case u need to Mijin, then u get back up w/ hate wiped etc, and can continue combat (avoiding weakness).

    BTW is HP fully restored when u reraise/raised after using Mijin w/ Nagi (even if it's just avoidance if weakness i still like, but full HP restoral would be nucking fice!).

    Any idea if the "Augment" Mijin Gakure might also make Mijin do AOE dmg to multiple mobs? Just like how monster's ones work?

    That said, I probably still would've upgraded.

    We were in the same boat gear-wise, and this has always been the job I've had the most fun with. That's not to say I don't still have a small wish list for NIN, but it's largely 'complete' after wrapping up this bs quest.

    As for Arthars' "Nagi-Findings" I'll spare you a new thread and just sum it up quick:

    • Follows the standard Augment tiering.

    • Enmity and MACC do not appear to work in off-hand.

    • Mijin Gakure enhancement allows unweakened reraise, regardless of zoning/tractor.

    • DA does appear to proc during WS from initial tests. I presume this only applies to main hand, and obviously only under AM3.




    I think we all laughed on vent upon seeing this "Augment."

    Although, after playing around with it, I do see some utility (as Firas hinted at.)

    Basically there's no other mechanic that allows you to wipe yourself from a mob/mob's hate list while remaining in-zone and unweak. Still obviously very situational in it's use, but here's a few initial thoughts:

    • Small man situations where wipe is inevitable, you could position for reraise and have an unweak tank ready to re-pull instantly.


    • Post-roar Tia-chan; I'll pop this, get up, and continue re-establishing hate (assisted by the extra enmity no less.)


    • Hell, even wiping yourself from the hate list on a mob approaching SSJ (if you're on Shiva you know this shit happens too often..)


    Again, hardly the epitome of game-breaking. But in the world of SE, you're gonna either enjoy your fringe benefits and your fucking 80 inventory keychain, or you can go back to your Aeon and yer Disney-skinned WoW.

    For me, it's a fun toy with an interesting option for "ohshi" situations that I'll gladly take over +3 absorb or 5% zerk.. (<3 Kirsch http://tarusodelicious.com/phpBB3/im...on_domokun.gif )

    I'll leave you with a few last bits:

    I noticed a regain effect in the Balrahn BC I hadn't seen mentioned before. Curious if Kirschy or anyone else had this?

    Also, upon mijin, recast had an "Unknown ID" listed, perhaps this is the effect that prevents weakness. I didn't pay attention to the timer, but I know after taking the ARB, it was removed from the ID list.. so perhaps there's a time limit for reraise under this special status.

    Any other tests people can think of lemme know.

    Yeah there's a 1 TP Regain in the BC. I'm sure it's there so that if you get Balrahn to 1% and he is taking no damage at that point, you can still win the BC getting TP from getting hit and the Regain.

    lol can go mijin in ballista reraise up and petra/gate breach so when u reraise up, no weakness and still have petra/gb (don't lose it if u raise instead of hp)

    Well, assuming Death Penalty's double damage is 45% proc similar to the DA of the melee weapons... at least COR will be able to shoot off some nasty slug shots O.O;

    Kinda makes you wish the RNG mythic was a gun instead of a retarded crossbow (I mean the weapon itself not Xbows in general)

    I always loved the Kikoku / Perdu. Even Dual-wielding Yoshimitsu offhand (which in terms of an off-hand weapon blows even nagi away) would be less DPS over time than Perdu.

    Kikoku / Perdu is an exceptional combo, but yes, if Nagi retained its stats in the offhand I do believe all four of us would have been spending our money differently post-Kikoku.

    IIRC Aurik did the math on this and concluded that stage 5/ stage 4 katana relic was the best combo. Expensive ofc, but the best.

    At the time, it came up because there were already 1 or 2 people dual wielding those and perdu was already out.

    I think it was either in the "which is better" thread or perhaps the original locked relic thread.
