IIRC Aurik did the math on this and concluded that stage 5/ stage 4 katana relic was the best combo. Expensive ofc, but the best.

At the time, it came up because there were already 1 or 2 people dual wielding those and perdu was already out.

I think it was either in the "which is better" thread or perhaps the original locked relic thread.

I'll try to look up the numbers but afaik, and feel free to interject (thorny you're my hero) but I'm not sure the frequency of triple proc / DA / crit was taken into account for the lower delay offhand weapon. Only the direct this delay + damage vs that delay + damage.

Kinda fucked up that Pld can dual wield Mythic/Relic without penalty, so can Brd, Sam, and my War (in my dreams, where I rain hell upon my foes with a Bravura/Conqueror set, monkey grip ftw!), but Nin cannot.

Sam can Koga/Yoichi and get full use out of both, Pld can Burt/Aegis without losing a thing, Brd can Carn/Ghorn, and MY War can Brav/Conq cause I'm hax like that, G.

I'm pretty sure it's off-hand nerf, not dual relic / mythic nerf.

Anytime you have a relic or mythic in the off-hand, its nerfed, even, for example, when you have a non-relic in the main hand.

AFAIK, this was the case on Mandau, for example, long before mythics even were in the game.

You only get weapon skills from main hand... relic or not.
