WAR doesn't have really shitty damage down gear options compared to SAM, but they're all much harder to obtain.

Max WAR: Valk Head/Body, D-ring, Jelly Ring, Heavy Gauntlets, Askar feet, DS Subligar +1, Shadow Mantle, V-belt, and Relic aftermath = -43% physical damage taken with 7% Slow

Max SAM: Arhat's +1 Head/Body, D-ring, Jelly ring, Hydra/Glavial Greaves +1, Darksteel Mittens +1, Hydra/Glavial Cuisses +1, Shadow Mantle, V-belt = -39% physical damage taken with 6% Haste

WAR with 6% Haste: V-helm, DS Harness/Mittens +1, B. Haidates, Jelly/Defending Rings, Askar feet, V-belt, Relic aftermath = -39% physical damage taken with 6% Haste

Take away D-ring, relic, and Valkyrie gear and you get a very different story.

I've always found better results using Darksteel +1 with Heavy Gauntlets Valhalla Helm/Body. Unless of course that's just some town gear that they think looks cool in which case, carry on.

WAR has plenty of options for PDT, just because the max is ridiculous to get doesn't mean having a very good set is.

-2% head, 4% body 3% hands 3% legs 2% feet 2% ring 1 5% ring 2 + shadow mantle and aftermath is -31%

-31% is better than Koenig will ever be (from the math that we discussed when I brought this up like 3 months ago) but that's not just assuming it's town gear.

I just don't get how NQ koenig could be town gear, that's like "I'm secretly a confused JP ...BRING FORTH MINE NIDHOGG SO I CAN TANKETH SUB WARRIOR WITH MY MIGHTY EARTH STAFF" anyways, carry on.

Also, I think like 4? or 5 Bravura have been completed this month and I haven't seen a single Aurum Cuirass. Maybe this dude does, idk, but do people just not do ZNM?

Oh shit, that's just M.body? Well, at least you got the better of the two pieces first (for WAR anyway).

Err.. Sath, if you drop the relic from that PDT set you get -21%, which is pretty much Arhat's Head/Body +1 and Jelly Ring. So SAM can get about the same amount in 3 slots that WAR can get in 7 slots and it's cheaper. WAR with your set would end up with a max of 3% Haste from gear, while SAM/WAR could have 17% Haste and considerably more Acc (Usu feet, Dusk +1, B.Haidates, Rajas). Shit, they don't necessarily even ruin their 6-hit.
If SAM wants more -PDT, Gavial Cuisses are tier 1 and Askar feet are pretty easy to get. If they're going to be wearing Askar feet and killing their 6-hit, they might as well wear Patro Ring too and make it -28%. Hydra Cuisses may well be tier 1 too.

Well yeah. I'm not saying SAM PDT doesn't trump the fuck out of WAR PDT all I'm saying that just because you can't do what SAM can you shouldn't be content to do next to nothing (koenig) on hard hitting mobs.

-21% is gay but it's 21% less gay than nothing and honestly, if we're considering relics, it's less than 1 mil for everything. I don't have harness and legs at the moment because I'm waiting for my wife to sign me some but there is no way I'm finishing Brovura w/o full set. Sig or no sig.

Edit: And as silly as it is - Parrying or Eva torque and like Parrying earring are good choices if you care about min/maxing your PDT set.

Edit 2: Also, not that it makes up for either the slow+ gear or the lack of haste gear but if your PDT set is on that means you're getting hit which means you can retaliate which gets you the same TP as if you swung (i know you know this)

It hardly makes up for it but it's a conciliatory point that as long as you're in your PDT set and getting hit you have the chance (although somewhat small) to still maintain the same, if not slightly faster, rate of TP gain. /devilsadvocate

Well, yeah. And having Bravura be part of your PDT gear makes it so you'll actually have enough Acc to hit stuff without E.body/etc when you Retaliate. I loved WAR, I'm just jealous of Arhat's +1 gear and think it's high time for us to git somma dat.

Or they could make a DRK/WAR/DRG specific D-ring drop from Spiny Spipi. That'd be cool too.
