There is virtually nothing in the game that is needed for you to win something. Bartholomew's Knife is one tho;;. What I can tell you is that if that Koenig PLD was tanking mage lamps like we do they could easily be killed instantly from 2 simultaneous T4s, but the final form, if you were to straight tank that I promise you, you are going to want an Aegis lol (Nothing can save you on the final form when it does curse>T3ga however).

To the whole Aegis-Is-Needed-For-PW. A few months ago, Neosutra posted Pheonix's attempt on PW. Our tanks were Myself (Aegis), Neosutra (Aegis) and Mrhomie (Koenig)

At the time, Neo and Homie had/were standing in -Phys. Damage Taken Gear (Haute for Homie, Both Neo and Homie have 2/2 Val) while I used a standard Acc/Haste with Joy. (Neo was using Joy also). Over all the forms, the only one that Aegis really really saved my ass would be Gurfurlur. Other than that one form, Homie did just as well as either Aegis PLD. They'd have to come on here to post their own idle sets for the fight though.

All and all, No, even from an Aegis POV, it's not needed for PW. At least not for the pre-true form stage, as our final form strat was a zerg method so.. yeah.

All and all not to disagree with you but Homie is a great paladin as well, I miss pw fights with HM and neo. No relic is needed for any fight tbh. Massholes unite.

Having killed PW I can 100% say Aegis is not needed for the final form.

Aegis allows you to idle in a much superior body piece while keeping the lowered CE lost from dreadstorm and such. If you have aegis vbody turns into a very situational piece. Mrhomie also had 20% mdt which was right up with the aegis plds there. He also had a superior pdt set compared to neo/kag. Oh and outside of continueing a light/darkness is there anything that any relic is needed? What are we debating?

Vandyr, I didn't say a single thing about it's usefulness against the final form because I'm well aware that we did not make it to that segment to the fight. I even made a reference to the post that Neosutra had made when we attempted the fight. So if anyone would to be curious, they could see how far we had gotten by going to that post.

Hey feegs, stop arguing about that and start arguing about how Aegis and G-horn can't make continuing Light/Darkness.

I move that Requiem with G-horn and Shield Bash with Aegis become continuing Light. They're underpowered right now and definitely need the boost.

Hey bros, it wasn't a pot shot. Hence the "no offense" phrase prefacing my statement.

I don't take pot shots. If I don't like someone, I'm up front with them, and I have no problem with you (or Yabai, but apparently he doesn't like me!).

I never said anything about my own experience - I've never fought PW. I was just simply pointing out that when people say "you need Aegis for PW", they're not talking about any of his other forms because it's obvious that you can do all of those just fine with a Koenig Shield. Instead, they're talking about his near-instant cast -ga spells that he can use rapidly during the final stage.
