It's 100% from scratch - I just made it on the same POL ID that I had my lv10 taru sauro mule on so I couldn't go anywhere for about 1.5 months after making it. My main character is actually 3rd character on my selection screen XD

Given that we are posting in a thread about relic/mythic weapons, I have to presume that "perfect RNG" includes a relic weapon? If so, your statement is almost categorically false, by your own admission: you've said many times that "gear doesn't matter on HNM fights because you eventually hit the enmity cap anyway," and relic RNG (particularly gun RNG) has enormous advantages over any DD not named DRG in enmity generation (or lack thereof).
In fact, I'd be inclined to argue that post-Camouflage-update, you don't even need a perfect RNG to beat most melee DD. RNG has a lot of -enmity gear, and if you are not firing WS, Camouflage (with AF body) lasts quite a while (I've gotten 200+ seconds).

Yeah thats great and all, rng still sucks because it doesn't benefit from haste. A stand and shoot rng will never come close to sam war drk drg or any other decent melee, even on colibri.
Rng is for scouting Ixion/Sandworm and for fighting Ixion/Odin when they don't have a better DD job to come as (if they don't have sam war drk drg). Unless you get a K club, in which case it will perform well in a number of situations (merits/ein/limbus/etc) but still not for Odin/Ixion.

A 5-hit RNG with E-bow gets TP in like 20 seconds assuming capped hitrate with merited rapid shot and maximum snapshot gear (when I did that math long time ago I didn't even count the snapshot belt you can now get). Sure, RC WAR with max haste buffs can get TP in less than half but RNG has a good WS![]()

DRK will get stomped out at colibri unless it's BRD+RDM+DNC.
Against HNM, it's quite simple. There are exactly three possible scenarios:
1) You are killing the mob so quickly that hate management is irrelevant (e.g. zerg)
2) It is acceptable for the DDs to tank the mob
3) DDs must restrain themselves to stay below the tank's hate threshold
Many/most HNMs fall in category 3. In any situation where long-term hate generation is a factor to be considered, RNG has significant advantages over melee DDs (except maybe DRG) and relic RNG (particularly gun) has enormous f*cking Mecha-Godzilla advantages over the rest.
Arguments about haste not affecting ranged attack are totally beside the point, since dealing more and faster damage doesn't help you avoid overtaking the tank's hate threshold. Even non-relic RNG has a big advantage in -enmity gear; their -enmity set has items like this:

Note that the only 2H DD that can even equip either of the aforementioned sets (DRG) is the one that has no need for it.
Basically, it's all going to come down to me disagreeing with "most HNMs fall into category 3". If you don't mind melee feeding the mob TP, there is little to no reason to care if melee tank it. Our melee tank more in Aery than paladins, but it's still nice to have paladins who care about surviving if people die (said melee generally /sam tank it, but if they went /nin, they wouldn't even mp sponge). And Odin is an even bigger joke, TBH. In fact, it actually makes it go smoother if your melee can bounce hate with your tanks.
DI is largely the same...anyone who is getting erases and /nin should be able to "tank", though admittedly it's very hard for a DD to hold hate due to the whole attacking from the front thing. I fail to see the benefit of never pulling hate in either fight.
As a side note, the small ~300 point aoes still wipe hate, and furthermore, once you hit cap hate, it just decays, then you pull hate when you ws, then it decays again, etc. It isn't dangerous, and there is "redundant" hate being added. If there were no enmity cap, maybe it would be bad, because you'd end up fulltime tanking, but that isn't the case at all.
