My Excal finished today and PLD is done which makes me kind of sad;; Friend's Gungnir coming in 4 days too! I have another Toreador's to use depending on the mob for those wondering ;/ Oh, and for those wondering I keep Haute in my inventory for sentimental value. Oh, don't mind the gil either; none of its mine, it's to pay for like 50 Ein + Dyna runs so I don't have to mule for the gil ever since I'm lazy

Excellent paladin, but if you don't mind the critique, Rajas Ring and Neuvo Coselette with 10 Acc/4 STP would increase your WS frequency pretty significantly.

Edit: Aurum Cuirass would work too, but you'd drop a nice hunk of accuracy.

Isn't the point of Excal # of swings > # of WSs? I'd think Haste > DA/TA > HP > xhit, for that weapon.

Dropping an additional hit off Atonement is going to result in more enmity over time in any situation where Atonement is viable.

Excal is all about Haste/HP/Number of hits so Homam > everything else. :3 So the Neuvo with Acc/STP would be useless. I doubt he TPs in Defending Ring.

And the FC/Enmity body is too good to give up :3 Gotta love that oshit ichi gear.

And the FC on ACP body makes no noticeable improvement on ichi casts, its a placebo at best

Holy fuck, this is a stupid statement. Getting excal doesn't automatically mean atonement/melee damage becomes irrelevant.

Also, regarding which augments on neuvo. Wasn't it more practical to cast flash in hydra haubert with 1 march/haste because you are unlikely to be using it the second timer is up (especially if you're using excal)? So the only thing you lose out on is a very slight increase in ichi casting speed.

I don't Flash in Neuvo. I flash in Hydrabert. I only use my Neuvo for Reprisal recast and my ichi macro when shadows are completely down.

And like 90% of the Excal PLDs I've seen use Homam Body for DD with Excal over Ares/other bodies, assuming they aren't having MP issues.

99% of this game's "top-notch" paladins don't even use Rajas Ring.

And where did you pull Ares from? Taking swings off the route to Atonement =/= adding some attack. Unless you're having MP issues, Ares doesn't compare to any of the body pieces in question.
