Five hit? I can't imagine the amounts of store TP needed for that with such a low delay weapon. What do you use for your 5hit?

Carbonara/Aftermath plus:

TP: White Tathlum, Hachiman+1 hand, Rose Strap, Usu Body, Usu Feet, Rajas, Brutal

WS: Hachiman+1 hand, Usu feet, Rose Strap, Rajas, Brutal (Black Tathlum)

It isn't really that bad. Aftermath basically makes up for the delay difference.

And assuming everyone has dusk+1, even with a relic, is kinda meh IMO, the cost:benefit ratio on dusk+1 is lower than amano really. Even past that though, the 5hit should beat the haste setup unless you're zerging with haste samba (which I guess is a possibility, but I've never had it).

-2% DA grip


+3 acc, -3attk, +5str, -1dex, -5haste, -2DA assuming HQ dusk gloves. 5str is 3.75 attack, so let's just go ahead and start with saying you gain attack, and nullify your understanding of the situation there. Accuracy shouldn't matter with the 20 on Amano, you should be able to cap on anything that matters. Past that, if you're doing it in a zerg with a Madrigal + Feint, you're so past cap it isn't even funny. Oh, and 5hit is a 25% increase in your WS damage.

I sat and did the numbers myself and concluded 5 hit wasn't worth it compared to a proper haste build but I have no hard numbers to back it up so its all my opinion of course but I'd like to see any parses with you because I honestly doubt you could out parse a 6hit with far better ws gear than what you sacrifice to use to get your 5hit. Also as someone who has had Amanno for some time the +20 doesn't mean shit. I wiff plenty of kaitens

Pretty sure this right here shows you have absolutely no concept of game mechanics. You're going to miss 5% of WS "swings". Multi-hit WSes have to miss ALL swings to miss, which is why dragoons and such have 100% WSaccuracy very often. Perhaps you've had an Amano for a while, but ya, Kaiten is the same as Gekko (which most Sams are acc capped on), and you're just going to miss a lot due to high WS frequency and it being a single hit WS.

Highly doubt it, for 1 I actually parse, and your "TP dream set" includes an Ace's helm.
Your dream WS set includes a gorget that doesn't work on Kaiten and a helm that is 2nd best in slot.
Granted, I dunno how old this stuff on FFXIAH is, but seems like you aren't too sure what you're doing.


Also, like I said, the 5hit requires you to be able to keep aftermath up fulltime, which is the main drawback and reason it isn't practical a majority of the time. When it does work though, you are flat out wrong. Go learn how the fucking game works before you try to call people out. Getting an Amano first in no way makes you know anything about it, the game, or how to use it to the highest potential. And really, I don't care when people are wrong, but don't try to correct others. Your post reeks of ignorance though.

All I said was I didn't think it would do the same numbers, and yes having Aftermath up would be the key to your setup and as you said isn't practical. None the less your not putting up any numbers either so its just your opinion as well.
