idk i did some numbers and an elf/galka excal thats geared well can be just as good a DD as a pld with excal

RDM can actually get more haste than PLD, less of everything else, though.

And the gap widens if all you care about is DD, because in that case, the PLD would /DRG

pld needs its sub at hnm though, in many cases rdm doesnt need its sub at all and can /drg with excal. with full sword merits and hp merits, rdm only is behind in total hp - which may even out since they wont be taking much damage.
