I find it rather hard to believe that there are any servers where there aren't at least several groups that frequently merc pieces especially via ffxiah bazaars. Honestly, if you do salvage for long enough with a dedicated static you cap on certain pieces very quickly and it's silly not to seek out buyers for such pieces to prevent them from simply hitting the floor again and again.

Productive as in gear. I finished all salvage sets over a year ago.. It doesn't take long to get gear if you got a good 6 man team. 6 people = more drops to sell..

Don't get me wrong, I like salvage, but you're delusional if you think it isn't repetitive...every event is repetitive, and the only thing Ein has going for it is it's short. It's not really any different than Dynamis as far as content goes.

Einherjar also isn't nearly as repetitive because the combinations of mobs that you get can vary such that you might not see the same mob group or boss in several weeks or even months. With Dynamis, you know exactly what mobs are in there.
