I agree doing a relic should be about having fun and for the love of your job.

However, if your gonna be showing it off etc, expect to get bad mouthed

There's absolutely nothing wrong with doing a relic just because you love the job
and simply want the relic for it. The nin with no rajas and suppa, he may just
love nin and enjoying playing nin and thats the reason he did kiki.

If you love your job, you should wanna do whats best to make it the absolute best...
aka getting suppa and rajas with your kiki but maybe they just did the relic to do it.

I wouldn't criticize a no marduk, no wind skill/sing skill merit, no hq terras brd with ghorn
if they just did the relic cause they love brd and not nessicarily to be the best brd
they can possibly be.

Yeah messing around and whatever with a job, sure, fine, ok, lord knows I have jobs which I don't gear as well as others 'cos I consider them "fun" jobs that I barely use at events or anything even remotely important. Seriously. There is a difference between a relic sam not having a bushi and a relic nin not having a suppa. Suppa should be absolutely necessary for a nin who is trying to be serious about their damage. (Wasting 100+ M on relic). Nin is a very low tier DD and needs all the help it can get if you are willing to waste all that time/money on a relic.

You know, there's kind of a large gap between not having, let's say, Cerberus Mantle +1 or Speed/Velocious Belt and not having Suppanomimi. It's sort of a sine qua non as far as a serious Ninja is concerned, to say nothing of any other job that favors Dual Wield and/or Swords. That it is expense-free (I can see why someone might limp along with a Bomb Core instead of Fire Bomblet to get their relic weapon finished) really hammers home the disinterest. I think it's silly to call such a person a gimp, though, when it's clear that they really just don't care. It's a shame that they manage to collect a relic weapon in spite.
