Completed Relic/Mythic weapons list

It's just that no one is itchin' to kill them some ToAU kings unless they actually need the title and that is a recipe for the worst pickups ever. That's like tier 2 VNMs groups, the only people who want to kill Farruca Fly are PUPs, DRGs, and BSTs and that never spells 'success.' :[

I don't see why anyone in a solid endgame LS who is working on a mythic can't get their leadership to schedule the runs and just go do it. Okay, no drops, make it worth points and attendance (which is what we did) and people will show up.

I know Matsuru (with Yagrush) and his team of relics wiped with some odd 12-18 people to Medusa. And our winning Mamool ja had 2 Aegis, 2 bows and at least 1 Ghorn, (plus some skill to back it up) and shit still got hairy.

Anything is possible, sure, but I'd love to see the 6-9 man ToAU Kings fight on video, solely to understand how someone can be that much more awesome than me

Assuming time is no issue: RDM/BLU for adds + RDM/NIN x2 BRD COR SMN WHM are really all you would need for Gulool. COR is replaceable with another SMN or RNG for slightly faster killspeed, possible can do with 1 tank but it's been a /while/ since I fought Gulool. 2 is safest I think.

Obviously this is assuming every person involved is an intelligent, capable player with full PDT / MDT / other specialized sets per job.

Adds really aren't an issue if you're well geared. Worst spell you're gonna eat is banishga 3, but as long as you have smart people (aka people who aren't the RDM/BLU don't hit the RDM/BLU with AoEs or spells of any sort) you can keep them silenced indefinitely without them building resist iirc. Other than that Cocoon + Taco + -50% PDT + Protect 4 + 30 damage Phalanx + stone mufflers / gorget if applicable makes them lol.

That's a bit of a stretch for Medusa. I was tanking the adds and I was getting my shit pushed in with 4 healers spam curing me. It was much easier once they ran out of MP, but those first few minutes were dangerous. And yes I had a MDB and PDT/shield setup

I don't think Sath meant that you could pick up 5-8 scrubs in whitegate, add yourself and go kill the shit out of some beastmen kings. Either way, they were pretty easy as long as the people you have are competent and not retardedly geared.

Gulool is the best though, desynthing the breastplace and splitting the 2 imp wootz ingots was a nice bonus to the title

Prior to this, it was next to impossible to ever get set up for it.

Having a PLD/DNC (with Aegis) and good magic def set makes all adds cake for Medusa. We only had one WHM and had SMNs heal him when his HP dropped into the red/yellow. Also dedicating a SMN to use Perfect Defense can be a lifesaver on super tank and/or main tank(s).

Ehh, I got the ToAU king titles long ago... There just aren't enough salvage goers on Phoenix for all of the mythic upgraders. I've been shouting in Whitegate for 2 years to buy alexandrites at 3k, and I've still only gotten 14k of them. I have enough money banked to buy up a couple thousand more, it's really just supply pinched at the moment.

Doing this atm in our LS. Did Gulool last night with Medusa/Gurfurling sometime soon. I told the upgraders to tell me when they had the key sets and I scheduled the run. Stuck it in our event schedule on a manditory event day. People were more than happy to show for what was free attendance/DKP since the NM is so easy that the event finished earlier than usual and people got extra free time to do their own thing. Plus a lot of people had never fought them and wanted to do it at least once. Worst part of the fight is the gathering and run there which takes 3 times as long as the fight itself. I don't see why a LS wouldn't schedule a run for a serious upgrader since at the end of the day, the Mythic will benefit the LS plus the fact imo Linkshells should be there to help each other out *shrug*.

Yep the 3 king titles is the only reason I don't have a mythic. Missed that wagon and probably won't ever get a chance to ride it again.

Can do all with 6-9 I'm pretty sure. Caiti needs Gulool and I've been meaning to organize a low-man kill for a while now but I'm lazy / not playing as much lately. I'd be interested in setting some up though if the right people came along.

Wish I was, have had the same problem as most people here until recently. Two more titles, then I will be (Most of everything else is done, more than enough gil to buy tons of Alex as well).

And yes, I'm doing lolBurtgang, mostly because I've already done all the quests, have all items, and have 15k alex. I wont be doing another Dynamis relic until the event is instanced (I enjoyed the Mythic upgrade quest a ton, hated every second of the Dynamis one "place gil here, recieve relic").

I was collecting quite a bit of Alex by shouting during JP times, then actual JPs started shouted during that time and the well dried up for me.

well most competent salvage groups are capped or nearly capped out so it's not surprising that the supply of alex is going down.
