The concepts of "dignity" and "morality" are arbitrary man-made ideals that can't be quantified in any meaningful way. Using that as an argument to defend making a really stupid hypothetical decision isn't going to get you very far. I feel nothing but pity for any regular person (i.e. someone to whom $2,000,000 is a potentially life-changing sum) who would pass up that much money on "principle".

You shouldn't pity people who believe something resolutely. I think what you don't realize is I don't need that money in the first place so why would I sacrifice my dignity for it? Dignity may not be quantifiable to other people but it is to yourself. And that is the only person that really matters when you make decisions like this. Honestly its all pointless anyway but still, certain people can't be bought. I won't say that if I can't be bought under any circumstance, but under this specific one my dignity outweighs it.
