Seems then you are just going to get people who refuse to come jobs needed by the linkshell, to come the jobs they like, in order to get gear for said job.

Most people level jobs they don't like for endgame linkshells to get gear for their other jobs. I know many people who would have never leveled blm or brd but did so to get into an HNMLS to get gear for their war,drk, sam,and other random DD jobs no one cares about.

That is what I am in favor of, yes. But the core of my argument still exists, which is telling people to come on certain jobs and only letting them lot for those jobs sucks majorly.

Jobs that don't see the light of day shouldn't be a priority, simple as that.

By your logic, the guy who absolutely adores his BST is just as entitled to an E.Body as the guy who shows up on his DRK to tank 100% of the linkshell's events. Did I get that about right?

Given that I'm also in favor of job modifiers for points and some lotting restrictions, not exactly. But I like the overall idea of "you earn your points, how you spend them is up to you", even if the devil is in the details. If you don't see it that way then we'll just have to agree to disagree.

This. Because lets face it, very few linkshells want DD only people at this point in the game. I'm sure many others can attest to leveling jobs to qualify for a decent HNMLS so they can gear their favorite jobs.

No, no they can't. We're talking about the "average" linkshell, not the best. Yes, your numbers are correct if everyone is a good player but the "average" Einherjar LS cannot clear Tier 3 reliably with 18 people (meaning there are a LOT less Einherjar linkshells out there that can, so the chances of getting into one that can get you an E.Body with less than 30 people are ridiculously low).

this, if you know what you're doing you can clear all the tiers you need to get to odin with 18.

12-16 should be able to get to and kill Odin

You should be able to do this now, we kill it with 14 regularly cause out of 18-20 that show up to the earlier einherjar tiers a few will always miss a tier.

There is really no excuse for not having such an old item this late into the game.
