for the record I'd consider leveling WHM just for the hippie WHM relic body- noble's to me is fugly. Then again, that's probably because I've yet to HQ it.
Always cool to see a yagrush, I can't imagine a better use of alex out there at the moment.
what a cute taru
i'd let that taru pinch my elvaan butt.
for 999k, just because its cute. normally id charge 1m. good deal yo
Soboro procs more often and doesn't require that you horde(and in all likelihood, hold) 300 TP to do so. In what way is that better?
It's kind of a rough call. Do we know what the AM3 DA rate is? I remember Kirschy tested it, but I don't remember where or exactly what she found. Also, is it possible to have two Aftermath up at once?
I guess the question is, is an ~80% increase in DoT and doing a 300TP Rana every 3 minutes better than doing at least three more 100TP Namas and WSing more often?
Other benefits include: Enhances Third Eye II (Namas won't be pulling hate, so limited use if you aren't tanking but it's worth remembering that AM3 Koga's DoT is significant), Rana -> Namas = Darkness (Unfortunate, as Namas -> Namas = Light, but not a detractor), and less TP fed than a Soboro.
It's a pretty interesting combo (and one that Kellanved seems to be working on: http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/showp...postcount=1171), as if you mistime your build to 300TP, you can use Sekka+Namas or Meditate to correct yourself and keep the Aftermath flowing without necessarily wasting any TP. It is especially useful now that Meditate (unmeritted) and AM3 timers sync up. I assume people that get the Mythic GKT would go 5/5 Third Eye and 5/5 STP.
It's not something I can really assess with any accuracy though. It will be much more difficult than playing Soboro/Yoichi, and any "Perfect Scenario" math I might do will be entirely trumped by mistiming an AM3 or fudging up a few times. What I can say is that anyone who does it should definitely 5-hit it when they start WS with Namas, but they'll need to carry both sets. So, like, Namas -> 5-hit TP gear -> 100 TP -> (if AM3 is still up, Namas) -> 6-hit TP gear/Medi/etc -> 300TP -> Rana -> 6-hit TP gear -> 100TP -> Namas, etc. I'm sure Kellan will figure it out. He's a good player.
There's sort of an inherent contradiction there though. The Mythic GKT (supposedly) enhances Third Eye in some way, though I've never met a user who can tell me exactly how, so it's generally regarded as the premier tanking GKT. Namas doesn't give much hate and one of the major benefits of Soboro/Yoichi is that you can fulltime Hasso and pump out near-hateless WSs because your DoT is pretty crappy and most of your damage is set to a static CE/VE total. Full-timing Hasso and not pulling hate is kinda the antithesis of the Mythic GKT, especially in AM3 mode where it has pretty awesome DoT (unless it Enhances Third Eye by making it multi-proc even during Hasso). Maybe it is better damage than Soboro/Yoichi, but probably only if you have a Dancer to keep you alive and Samba'd with your Hasso on, because you're going to be tanking most of the time. AM3 level 80 Mythic GKT has higher DoT and WS frequency than level 80 Bravura including a 22% DA rate for Bravura.
Some bit of information in the extremely rare circumstance that someone else might actually be curious enough to pursue this.
To my great dismay, the current aftermath mechanics will not allow this. The relic AM always takes priority, essentially rendering AM3 unusable. Really unfortunate, the combination would have been most interesting to see.
Nevertheless, the sword is a solid weapon in its own right. Where there are things to kill, I found that the lvl 75 version produces similar output to Amano. It has better melee damage, with kaiten of course having better WS damage. Now with 1 additional minute on the lvl 80 AM3, output should be even better. I wouldn’t put soboro in the same class. You are of course free to assume whatever you like.
Since people love pictures…

Nothing ground breaking, but the enhancement is there.
So with salvage gear quickly become obsolete how are people going to finish Mythics?
