Interesting. Fought him today with a PUG and good lord what a cluster fuck...

He's really not that bad until the asshole 2 hours then holy shit does it ever turn ugly fast. Thankfully we did manage to kill him in about 20~30 min, got all 3 !! to proc and we all got our Atma. The leader got 2 helms and was very happy ^^. Me, I'm just happy to have 1 more boss down and Stout Arm for my SAM <3 (Still working on getting VV)

The leader didn't even know that Red !! is for all key items and not just Atma @-@; Hell, at one point we flagged !! and leader gave the call to go all out but thank gawd I looked @ the chatlog and noticed the "Silenced" clause. Would have sucked if we'd killed him after a grellow only ><;

It was a relatively smooth fight to be honest until the PLD got taken down by 2 back-to-back WS during his two hour. It was weird, Bribri pretty much sniped him out of the blue before he could even move, took us by surprise. This happened around 6% HP remaining @ which point everyone was in a panic over a possible wipe since like 10 people went down with him right after. Thankfully we had intelligent kiters. X.x lol I TRIED to help with Garuda but she just got pimp-slapped in 1 shot was actually kinda funny.

I wouldn't say 90% of players are terrible so much as they're not as well-versed with game mechanics & strategy. I mean fuck, idk how many times I've had to recite the fucking version update details to people I know because they're too fucking lazy to check the site or even the POL update board.

There are terrible players, as well as there are average players.

His logic is that terrible players cannot function enough to do anything beyond the scope of exping, while average players have the wherewithal to attend this event and follow instructions - to some degree. I wouldn't argue against it because someone may be capable of healing and so forth by direction, but that does not make them extraordinary. This definition is provided you are assuming that the average player does not bother to look up direction on wiki or elsewhere - which is typically a fact.

tl;dr: Your meaning for the word terrible is casuals, his encompasses those worse than casuals.

This breakdown is irrelevant as I am sure you were just generalizing his post, but meh..

Actually brd is there just to speed up.

Maybe he is fast but he whiff like shit.

His 2hr is a joke you can just get hit by first AoE then run from him and make him read 2nd and 3rd w/o anyone in AoE range (in the time he will do 2nd and 3rd st20 will wear off and healer can heal you). After single Collosal Slam Im turning back to him and wait till st20 wears off and till RDM heals me. If you are fast enough you can also run away from his 1st CSlam when he will use 2hr after 1111 Mercurial Strike (simply look at your hp when he do Mercurial Strike and run away if you think he did 1111 dmg to you). He is very easy and take about 4-15 min (4 min with sv marches + fanatic + berserker tonic and 15 min w/o sv marches w/o meds and with 3-4 Meikyo)

NIN subtle blow is capped for me on this fight I think. 25+5(merit)+5(rajas)+5(usu gloves)=40% and I assume subtle blow+ ninjutsu is at least +10.

Was that in eva gear/hybrid/ or normal tp gear? just curiousity. I already know he's easy and can be killed np. I just wanna know how seriously i need to take his accuracy.

Man just finished my trials earlier today, phew! Lots of hard work finally paid off!

Can't wait to see what next Monday has installed for us relic owners!

As MNK85 with only usu body/hand + dodge for eva, I was dodging about 1/3 of his melee attacks(eyeballing, which is bad I know), but his acc is pretty poor. Slap on yonin and higher base eva from NIN and there's almost no threat aside from that stupid colossal slam move.

Colossal slam is a joke too. Just turn away till curse wear off and let Healer do his work then start fight again. With full usu + yonin + Boxer's + iga neck + one Agi Sekka+1 its fairly common he will miss 10 hits in a row. I cant think of situation when you can die at this fight with NIN solo tanking/dd beside connection lost or not running from his 2hr.
