Ukko is pretty beast though. I'm a bit disappointed in the WAR hands & body, if I had to pick I'd say it's a toss up between NIN & SMN for most over-all OP set.

WAR body disappointing? stp+8 and 27att 26acc... best TP body WAR could have asked for (Best till now for fake 5 hit Ukon was Aurum)

It's better, but it's not the huge leap over current gear like some of the other pieces are. NIN made out like a fucking bandit with 17% Haste from just 3 pieces and a slew of other amazing buffs, ditto SMN - their Body piece just absolutely shits on everything else. That was my point, in terms of over-all gains, SMN & NIN's sets offer tremendous gains over older gear whereas WAR already had some very good options available to it.


And I'm at 0/Gems & Lanterns atm, but I've already got a static for Cirin Lanterns so that's not an issue (he's an easy boss anyway >_>) honestly if I can just get past the mother fucking VNM stage I'm gold for an 85 Masamune. My problem is no one ever wants to do them & no broken-as-all-get-out Atma buffs. I could probably solo Lamprey Lord on RDM, if not for the fact that I have to do it on SAM and he's about as unfriendly to melee classes as you can get.

Have you tried shouting? I find it hard to believe you can't find help when WOE leeches can do it np. If all else fails SAM can most definitely solo it by dragging it to the pin spot in Pash, just will take a while.

I've been shouting for LL for like a week now, no one wants to fucking do it at all.

I did get a couple of people last night, but it wasn't a very good set up - 2 SAM RNG RDM. We might have been able to take it idk, but between his Acid Mist & ridiculous enpoison I just didn't want to chance it (plus it was like 2:30 AM and we were all quite tired)

How the christ do you solo that thing? I've gotten used to pinning a little bit from doing like 15 Chasmic Hornet runs but it's SAM. What am I supposed to do? Run around like a chicken with my head cut off between Meditates? I guess that could work but yeah, that's gonna take a long ass time to whittle him down. I don't have the +12 move booties for SAM/NIN either.

Just stand in the pin spot by the lake(http://kanican.livejournal.com/44638.html). It's one of those moving 1 step back and forth allows you to loop it around spots. It's not the quickest way by any means, but if you really can't get help it's possible....

WAT? The only piece worth comparing it to is Aurum. If you aren't 5-hitting, you're doing it wrong. And seeing the desire to do ZNMs these days, it's a pretty welcome alternative to Aurum. Furthermore, the stats aren't bad, at all, and are better than your shitty Nocturnus.

What are you smoking? Ya, the nin set is all-around pretty good, so is the warrior set. Haste? Really? Warrior can easily cap haste and get another what, 4-5% on top of that? I'm dropping haste all over the place on war, how is this even relevant? Have you looked at war feet, +10% crit dmg? That's a pretty goddamn amazing piece.

It's a fucking leech with nasty stats? I tried to duo it with a RDM but the prick ate me alive (my eva is not capped, about 294 atm working on it. Probably a large factor I'm sure) although the RDM was able to hold his own and could have straight tanked it if not for his ridiculous enposion.

And getting people to help with this is like pulling fucking teeth. At least Carabosse has decent rewards that people will want instead of a lol 2.5% Drain/Aspir earring. Urd was nowhere near this annoying, even with her crazy TP spamming (which our group just ran out of range for anyway). Lord knows if I could just get a couple of nukers this'd be some easy shit but I can't even get a single person to respond lately.

And fuck meditate pinning, even if it does work I don't have the patience for that nonsense. It's not like I don't know how to take the SOB on, it's that I can't get anyone to f'ing do it with me. Doesn't help that most of my friends who are actually good at the game are either rarely on or have quit by now.

Holy fucking shit how is Malacite not banned yet? Protip: The LL Earring is "better" than any drop off of carabosse, at least it will actually be an improvement (although a waste of space). If you ever even manage to get past the Carabosse stage, I will gladly trash my Masamune. If you can't manage to kill Lamprey Lord once even, how in the fuck do you expect to finish Carabosse? Offer some gil if you must, I really am looking forward to seeing you struggle as well as seeing your HORRIBLE posts.
