Lol, nobody likes to do VNMs tbh. Even when my shell was working on the GSD (don't ask me why I don't call the shots here lol), as his inventory got filled up, ppl were pretty annoyed we had to stop abyssea to do his VNMs so he could start storing his gems, lol (me included)

Aren't you going to need to recruit a mage of some sort to duo it with you? Surely you've considered that the likelihood of a pickup healer a) being competent enough to duo Cara with you, b) having monk leveled, and c) being surrounded by shitty enough people to not already have Afflictors(if its something they want) is exceedingly low.

Likewise for Allure- what competent healer that wants that atma won't already have it?

Are Afflictors even worth using, let alone as bait for help? Did 150 Gems worth of Carabosse a few weeks ago and was able to give away 1 pair of them to a pup...

Afflictors are gimp as fuck. They were when 85 was the cap as well. Not really worth using as bait because anyone who those h2h appeal to are incompetent and would only get in your way.

Its a basically free weapon. Relics cost a god damn arm and sanity. So um. Quit being a bitch. ante up some gil and complete the weapon already. If you decided to go for a weapon thats pretty much kicking huge ass and dont have some gil saved to back ur venture then you dont deserve said weapon bc u werent bright enough to plan ahead. FFXI players tend to comprehend one thing when its not about friends.. Gil < The end.

I don't really see how, grab 12 people, split the cost of glass, then sell/split everything, there is still a few people making relics for who knows what reasons.

I have MNK BRD & WHM all leveled, that's the beauty of the last 3 stages - I do not have to be on SAM for them. And I finally got done with LL yesterday, and my group is going to try and finish Chesma today. Kinda funny too since I always hated WHM & BRD but inside abyssea they aren't so bad. Truth be told you have to be a real fucking idiot IMO to not be able to handle WHM's job given appropriate Atma. I can spam Cure 5/6 all day and never run out of MP ... so it's actually fun for a change <3
