Pretty much, my MNK was capped eva at 85 from pulling hate on stuff, prolly capped at 90 too. And if you have to strongarm people to help with 8 easy kills, I dunno how you're gonna do roughly ~35 Caraboose kills when she'll drop nothing of real interest. At least fishy boss you can offer the jewels/stones.

Unfortunately, his mnk is still in the 70s, so not a lot of mileage on that for him. You'd think between a 90 sam and 90 war, you'd get a little hate though. Not that a little Sam eva is going to make the difference between success and failure on LL/Chesma anyway.

Even if he can't cap hate by taking hate... he could like cap it in a little under an hour letting a small group of DC+ Chigoe in Abyssea-Attohwa... I'm sure dude just doesn't want the Masamune bad enough, or just not good at planning/scheming to get by. I know people with shittier gear and much further along with Masamune lol.

Skill ups are just fickle as shit. I couldn't cap on WAR either even though I pretty much tank full-time on WAR in Abyssea from spaming 2k+ RR's. Been asking in the random question thread like 3 times now for a decent spot to skill eva in a signet zone (epsecially since we got Martial master this week). Last time I had to do it on THF 75 I just zoned dolls in & out of sky. Took a while but it was relatively painless.

I know people with shittier gear and much further along with Masamune lol.

They've either got more gil or just better connections than I do. It's not like masa is really in any way shape or form difficult. Getting people to actually help out is another story entirely. I need to farm me some PDT/MDT Rings to go with my new Twilight Neck.
