Ok, I think RQT have to many more important questions and my was flooded so i will ask here I hope none will get angry.
Me and my friend decided to make us relics and we are a little undecided on which ones we want.
I was thinking about:
Aegis - I have Ochain and Almace and really like a lowman and I think that 90% MDT might be very important thing to increase my chance for lowman future content.
Excal - Seeing a ridiculous defense of Xarca and NMs could this be a significant DD tool for a tanking PLD or even support DD on RDM? Or most of those NMs are just packed with a lot of PDT/MDT not defense and add effect would be cut too? I am Galka with 12 merits in HP btw.
Apoc - Currently my choice. I've fallen in love in Catastrophe since I first seen it on youtube. Reduced delay cap and all the haste equip we got for those years made Apoc probably not even best DD choice for DRK atm but I still love the animation and the idea of those 2 unique effects on WS - haste and drain. From the more practical point of view it is still very powerful weapon and with hope of more DA/TA items in the future it can become even better option for DD (currently you need 15% in equip w/o marches and 5% with marches to cap delay cap when LR and aftermath are active). It still helps a lot for lowman outside abyssea.
Yoichi - One of the best toys among relics. hateless WS machine gun on SAM with 2-4 GKT and a little worse then gun but still very good choice for RNG. The problem is that it cost around 150% of most cheap relics like gun and for those price you can probably get a Anni + KC. The price is pretty important because we want to buy most currency.
Anni - Currently my friend's choice. One of the cheaper relics and in my opinion beside Yoichi only real weapon for serious playing on RNG if you want to stay alive and actually do damage.
Spharai - Well I love lowman and MNK so it's kinda obvious choice but I'm a little afraid of damage loss vs Veret and not many fights when this additional counter could be that important.

Any ideas?

If you like DRK, the utility on Apoc is great. It allows you to TP in gear that you obviously wouldn't be able to without and the drain can be quite nice; I have fun with mine when I get to use it. With your Ochain, though, I think you may get more utility out of an Excalibur but I could be wrong.

Pretty sure MDB/magic damage taken -% cuts down on Excalibur's additional effect as well. Besides, if you need options on magical damage, Atonement and Sanguine Blade are both there as well.

You'd probably be best off doing Aegis to round out your lowman PLD or Apoc for your low-man DRK.

I´ve chosen to do Aegis as my 2nd relic after Bravura. Been debating other options like Yoichi, Anni, Excal but I´ve always liked to play PLD and Aegis90 is just a damn usefull tool all around and probably a relic I won´t regret doing (and no I do not regret doing Bravura...at least not yet).

You said in your post that a bunch of the newer mobs have PDT as well, so you'd still encounter resistances to damage.

Also, Excal isn't a great tanking tool - the additional effect is hateless, its damage is based upon how high your HP is, and the WS blows. If you wanted a sword strictly for tanking, even a Burtgang 90 would be better.

Yoichi is tons of fun if you roll with someone who can tank full time and never die and you are just there for DD, but if you like to low man you prolly won't ever get to use it (especially abyssea). I guess it depends how low man you are. I've used mine like 4 or 5 times since abyssea came out anyways :/

I want relic mostly for outside abyssea. For Abyssea I will always go on MNK NIN BLM BLU etc. to proc something.

All your picks are solid. Might be worth waiting to see how SE handles relics in the next couple months before turning in currency. Aegis got a huge buff but PLD is PLD. Yoichi is a beastly weapon but its for pty member 5 or 6. Apoc is a very nice weapon esp for lowman and the haste opens up lots lf gear options.

best relic to enhance your low-man group outside of abyssea is Ghorn.
After that, Aegis. You already have Ochain. Having Aegis will ensure there's very little you can't tank.

horde your currency (like i'm doing atm) and wait to see how 99 relics turn out then base your decision on that. (i've always loved rng and was nearly to stage 4 anni for my second relic before I took my break when abyssea first came out)

Just my personal opinion but I see a major change on the horizon in regards to relics, and hopefully one for the better.

Anyway I have no idea how you imagine this can beat Caladbolg. It would need to be like +50% crit and in very low pdif situation? Maybe someone will want to make a math for this, I am to tired.
