It's not really balanced at all because every job except MNK that uses 1H weapons dual wields them.

I know that's probably what he meant I even said that. Just clarifying because the way he said it makes it sound otherwise. Really though 1hands should get the bigger boost. I mean cmon they will be dualwielding so not even getting a chance at ODD half the time. Unless you count pld with excal but cmon

Well that's certainly cheered me up from how crappy things looked yesterday. Guessing that translates to roughly a 7-8% overall damage increase for Apoc (assuming they still don't proc on WS). Still gonna leave most relics behind their Empy counterparts but I'll take it. It's better than things looked yesterday.

And I'd assumed the same as Atoreis, that the 2.5x weapons will likely be 15% proc rate but will need someone to test.

Well iirc on previous tests (done by other people) the dual wield relics were always "half" of what stuff like Apoc got on proc rate, so no surprise if it is 10% now since it was 5ish% under the old system. I say "half" because you always had the second fist, which would never get a proc, fuckin up your data. So it is actually 20%, just for 1 fist =)

The test I remember from Kirschy here said Apoc to be at 8%ish under the old values. She also mentions how H2H might have a different proc rate going by what is in that topic (I can't be arsed to look it up exactly). The explanation I gave earlier for the second fist fuckin up your data is something I stole from Kirschy, you or people like you two to explain why H2H (and every other relic you would dual wield) look lower in proc rate than they actually are. So 8% or higher for Spharai was never on the table until now.

Nope I meant Spharai was 8% for one fist always resulting in 4% of total attacks. Now its 10% on one fist resulting in 5% of all attacks.
Mandau got boosted from 8% to 10% it seems and looks like it depends on damage multiplier by how much you got boosted.

hypothesis for now is:
Mandau, Spharai, Kikoku, Mjollnir got boosted from 8% to 10%
Excalibur, Ragnarok, Guttler, Amanomurakumo, Gungnir from 8% to 15%
Bravura, Apocalypse from 8% to 20%
Annihilator, Yoichinoyumi in theory should go from 8% to 10% too but SE always like to be unique with ranged attacks.

There is no difference in proc rate for any of the weapons, the difference is in the dmg multiplier for each relic. I see no need for SE to double it up with a difference in rate, which of course does not mean SE won't do it anyway. My hypothesis is easy to check, just have the Mandau THF check on his RDM like he wanted to do anyway.

Idk his gear that he used while testing but assuming 14%TA and 11%DA a little over 900 attacks out of 1045 he did should be valid. That would be around 180 attack and he only got 105 (which would be around 11%). Unless he tested in abyssea with around 40% TA and 15%DA then maybe.

Honestly, up until you mentioned it I had never heard about relic procs not being possible on double or triple attacks. I want to say I've seen it happen but you've put doubt in my mind now. Any time I think I've seen it happen could possibly be attributed to AF3+2 and relic proc combining across both hits.

With a proposed 20% proc rate, it should be pretty easy to test though since you can get huge chunks of TA in Abyssea plus DRK has pretty decent access to DA/TA/QA gear. So theoretically that rate should plummet if you can't proc on DA/TA/QA.

Well it's just even simpler. Just go with high TA/DA and no af3+2 and check if you got some proc on any TA/DA. With 20% DA and 20%TA it should be around 1.5% to get multiattack with 2x hidden effect.

Im dying to know what changes they made to empyrean if any now. im hoping the aftermath ODD % is higher.

Anyhow, How does it rate for relic and empyrean users now assuming empyrean has no additional upgrades.

Which will win in parse still? Masamune or Amano? Spharai or Vere?
Just curious, I suck at parsing data, so Asking someone smart.

On a side note, I have a feeling relics or mythics will outdamage empyreans at level 99now.
