    Why 2h weapons are inherently stronger than 1h weapons

    STR>attack conversion
    DEX>acc conversion
    Hasso works only for 2h and as SJ
    all 1h weapons are generally dual wielded
    no 1h weapon has A+ skill (except pld)


    SE has this really stupid habit of doing a buff/nerf to balance shit out, but then keeps going on the same track when what they were trying to buff winds up stronger than what they were trying to balance out.

    I think you have no idea what are you talking about

    I will try to explain it to you in VERY simple example.

    You are working in a company and you can get money every day or every week
    1. Every day for 100$
    2. Every week 700$
    You have a chance of random 5% for x2 bonus.
    In both cases you will earn exactly the same on average( you will get bonuses on better rate with everyday pay but this bonus will be much smaller)

    Only thing that matters is ratio of melee damage vs WS damage

    If you have 60% melee damage and 40% WS damage split then 10% for ODD will boost overall damage by 6%.

    If you have 80% melee damage and 20% WS damage split then 10% for ODD will boost overall damage by 8%.

    If you have 30% melee damage and 70% WS damage split then 10% for ODD will boost overall damage by 3%.

    So only thing that matters is exactly this ratio and is your weapon 1h or 2h doesn't mean shit.

    1 = 365*1.05*100 = 38325
    2 = 52*1.05*700 = 38220

    ok for yur example but i think you actually didnot understand my point, the one from a programming view...

    Are SE Devs even using your reasoning with split between dot/WS damage when considering how much dmg multiplier / frequency to put on each relic ? I doubt.

    I think they are more probably using a pure math reasoning, or none at all with just arbitrary values(i doubt too). Hence why i m suspecting some pattern...

    (75 Proc Rate / Proc Damage) * 8 would be roughly correct I think if they were using a formula to work it out.

    3x Weapons = (5/3) * 8 = 13.33%
    2.5x Weapons = (5/2.5) * 8 = 16%
    2x Weapons = (5/2) * 8 = 20%

    Yeah, it's probably that. The logic about who-gets-which-proc is vaguely correlated with base damage but not really (hence Gungnir being 2.5 and Bravura being 2).

    To put it another way, it's 40%/X, where X is the damage multiplier. So it's the same as having a 20% double damage proc rate all the time.

    Mythics did not get another WS damage boost on the 90 version.

    Thanks Jem and Byrth, it's what i meant.

    The main question i'm wondering tough is... are current data we have (bar base dmg and delays) reliable to base our research on them ? (thinking mostly about the procrate at 75, i remember i made a thread dedicated at collecting those but rceived very low feedbacks)

    EDIT: or actually just forget them to just focus on 90 procrates most relic users have?

    Test was done without any DA gear or AF3+2. Subjob was DNC. Atma's used were RR, GH and DD. Target was bunnies in Abyssea Misereuax. Had a few none crit dmg hits, those weren't counted. All hits below 200 dmg in the parse log are kicks (had Usu feet on). So the number of actual fist crits is 1610. With 97 3x dmg crits that makes 97/1610=6~ %. Since I'm fucked with no offhand procs that follows the line of 12% on my main fist that others have been getting for their weapons.

    Problem with that is that the proc rate is further cut in half on 1H jobs because every 1H weapon save for Excalibur and lolguttler is dual wielded. They should have just increased it to 20% across the board for this reason. Excalibur PLD becoming semi useful won't break anything and solo guttler BSTs doing more damage won't affect anything important. And in a party BST dual wields just like everyone else for the same reason.

    Guttler and Exca are 2.5x even that they are 1h weapons.
