Doing VW in pickups is probably why you value Pld so highly.
And every single one I've found in pickups were either mostly useless, couldn't hold hate, or primadonnas who warped mid fight - this is regardless of them having ochain/aegis as well.
The shittier your group is, the more useful pld is.
When, as I mentioned earlier, fight length is completely dependent on how quickly you can cap lights, wouldn't it be more prudent to have a tank that requires very little maintenance? Obviously a WAR will do more damage than a PLD, but how valuable is that when their general swings do little to nothing to speed up a fight? Seems as if a job that is a pretty reliable contributor during blitzes, has a job-specific proc, and is pretty unbeatable when it comes to holding things in place while taking very little damage would be preferable.
A good group will cap lights and zerg any mob down within 5mins generally. Sure, you will get some fights with shitty procs and need to take longer, but this is rare and doesn't require a pld to hold the mob.
Point taken, just seems kinda' silly to exclude a job that is pretty functional and has a job-specific proc.
Whatever works~
So much bullshit in here
SE just needs to fix atonement.
What the fuck is that even supposed to mean? Atonement is just a dead ws, get chant and move on.
If this is in regard to what I think it is, keep in mind that I'm only referencing paladins with real weapons/shields. Honorbound/Seigneur PLD is hardly a defensive increase over a prepared DD, and poses a dramatic drop in offensive capabilities.
And as DM said, there's no need to fix Atonement. CdC is more than sufficient.
I quit back when they first announced the ridiculous trials, partially cause Joytoy/Atonement was pretty much crushing KoR in most situations. Funny to read 1+ year later how unbalanced it still is.
P.S, Random question, does Almace actually beat Excalibur (RDM & PLD)?
Yeah, it does, for the most part.
Back then regular, easy to get weapons parsed closely or outparsed relics/mythics/empyreans. But right now imo... Empyreans/relics/mythics just steamroll the other weapons now. I would go as far as to say, everyone should just get 1 and ditch cause it makes a huge difference.
-Magian Staves and -PDT axes for BST are still considered good though for non ultimate weapons. Im proud of the balance they made though since then.
I remember joytoy vs excal and I remember hagun vs amano and I remember destroyers vs spharai and that was ridiculous. The parse difference is much more noticeable now. (from ultimate weapon to a non ultimate weapon),
Should do VW just for the wonderful teleports you get.
Time to do trials! (again)
