Given this thread, I assume you all are shell-less. Or, perhaps, you are all abusing the term to mean any one out of so many different social configurations from which you assume you have free reign to arbitrarily comment on. If you are aware of corruption issues that are endemic to a ls then sure, point it out I guess. If you are just assuming while looking at a sentence on a computer screen that those features are present just because the word "LS" was used, then you should probably rethink your own thought process.
Inb4 all these wonderful flames/arguments I'm going to get of how retarded I am for this. That's fine. Just be careful to prepare an argument that doesn't assume too much. I'm not siding with Rathan or anything. This is more or less an attempt at disambiguation to figure out exactly why this became the general reaction.
Asking people that agreed (perhaps even APPLIED?) to a system that is used in a shell to do certain things isn't coercion. It can manifest itself into forms of abuse from leaders or central figures, but by no means does it necessitate it. Grow up.
^ this is exactly how profit works. You bid on shit that drops. Money goes into a pool. At the end of the run the money is split among everyone. It means no ls leader is holding onto a bank that gets banned/server transferred, and you earn money pretty fucking quickly in order to then bid on shit you want (or keep to buy shit outside the LS).
I've known Rathan since like 2005, he's legit when it comes to doing whatever he can about being upfront with LSes he has run/helped out in.
Is a fucking failure at forum posting though. I blame his screaming children. So take what he says with a grain of salt.
Katy...they weren't attacking me personally...just the idea of a corrupt LS leader so I actually applaud the criticism cause I loathe other LS leaders too. Simmer down my Egyptian friend <3
Pretty much this but it goes into a little more detail, we've always sold and bought things in the LS and use gil as kind of LS points, whom ever makes the LS event gets a small bonus in resulting gil, but anyone can make an event.
He's selling the Marrows to LS members at a decent price and because they are 10mil a piece for a LS member or so (price isn't decided upon just yet as I believe he wants to wait until the update incase they change something), but them being sold gives people without a relic a reason to go then just "helping a friend" we get compensated in gil.
They finish a relic, I get paid, everyone is happy.
Well, I apologize, sounds much better and different when explained that way.
Went 1/2 wins on him today. 2nd one he just kept spamming that dick terror move leaving us powerless to do anything, finished us off with some instant-death tera slash goodness.
He goes down really fast, it's just his TP moves that are annoying.
Also he split straight into 3 clones rather than the initial 2 we usually see, not sure if others have seen this before.
Terror slash proc'd 1/2 our alliance today both attempts. PD was fine cause we went from full HP to dead like normal >.<. Deathga cleaned house 6 seconds later.
Dear ADL,
Thank you for teaching us that no matter how efficient we make a run you will be there to destroy it.
Sincerely,
That guy under your left foot.
My brother got his Spharai! Congrats big fat galka!

Have fun on the trials![]()
Tera Slash/Death was an absolute massive dick last night on both pops. It seems bizarre thinking about it. We did more raw damage in our 90 or 95 attempt despite the fact he landed a full 1 min duration Terror and then Breakga'ed before it wore on the lower level attempt. So it must have been solely down to Tera Slash dropping people (I know the triple clone did 3x Tera Slash on pop)
There is definitely still luck involved in this fight. The frustrating thing is on some pops it would be downable with just EA/Scherzo whereas on others it can just go 'Fuck you' with PD up.
For example on our first pop last night it dropped from 100% > 30% in about 10-15 seconds and only got off 2x Transfusion and 1 Stonega in that time. It then split into 3 clones and did 3x Tera Slash followed by AoE Terror. If it had picked a different move then it would have been killable without PD that pop but because it didn't we only just scraped together a win.
The second pop we didn't even win because it decided to split at ~55% > Tera Slash > Terror move (Dynamic Implosion?) > Tera Slash and then did Death on the final DD for good measure. On another day I could imagine it dropping like a sack of shit with an identical set-up and no deaths at all purely because it stuck to PD friendly TP moves.
To me it seems the fight difficulty is largely dependant on what % it decides to clone and then what move it opens with after cloning. If it's Dynamic Implosion then it might drop a lot of the ally before terror wears, if it's Tera Slash then it depends on what direction it's facing when it repops. Anything else and you're not going to have issues.
Kinda glad it was a dick last night though otherwise I think we'd have got complacent about future kills if it had just rolled over.
Has anyone tried PD+CS stun to keep atleast the first form from using the terror move?
Not really much point tbh. It's only going to get 1-2 TP moves + a spell off before it splits. If it terrors pre-split you lose PD time but are probably still safe as you're eating half or a third as many TP moves due to no clones. You'd have to be very unlucky or very bad to lose significant numbers before it splits. You're only looking at 30-60k damage before it clones
Could you use SCH/BLM for Stunga to prevent triple Tera Slash?
or a blu? or do they resist stun somewhat?
I am assuming Sudden Lunge doesn't land because our BLU was excited it landed on NQ DL but never said anything about landing it on ADL.
SCH/BLM could potentially work but it would need you to retarget quickly after clone. They always TP immediately upon cloning but I'm unsure how quickly you can retarget them. When they clone, you lose target for like 5-10 seconds. I'm not even sure if the resist the stun spell or not. Had the discussion earlier today with a fellow sack. I know that I 100% landed Weapon Bash stun but I never tried the spell because I was just focusing on zerging.
It's not like it's insanely difficult, you can just get unlucky. Like I said, if it had picked a different TP move after cloning then it would have been ridiculously easy.
Some things that may be worth noting. After going passive, they don't aggro (but they do depop once they reach the ???'s). I assume they either have ally hate or hate on everyone within the confrontation. The clones always spawn at the same HP as whatever they split off from so you could theoretically aga them down gradually or something to that extent. Theoretically.
JPs on Baha not missing a beat. Already recruiting for Umbral Marrow Linkshell.
If they don't have hate to people outside ally, there could be some possibilities here. A /targetnpc macro should make AOE stunning easy enough as well. Do clones share hate? How far can you drag them away without losing confrontation status? Oh and do AOEs hit outside of ally? You could do something like 3 DD parties outside alliance and each party focuses on a specific DL if not.
