Agreed as well. Ultimately if you're gonna lose, you'd far prefer it to be because of unlucky tp moves or an early 2nd split than because half of your damage was taken away from an un-executed or late Perf Def.
I too wish we had more of a way to tell what the triggers are related to his tendency to resplit. It doesn't seem to be a strictly time or HP based thing, but the sample sizes are too small to say for sure. We've debated altering our strategy to treat it like the Golem Twins in Einherjar. Take one to 5% then kill the other and then quickly kill the original assuming it was the clone you killed. This approach would be working under the assumption that he can not resplit with a clone still alive, which up to now I haven't seen contrary reports.
A little hesistant to try the approach though because while we've had good luck with being able to push down 2 in short order, we've typically come pretty close to using the full duration of Perf Def when we've picked wrong the 1st time. Curious if anyone else has considered or tried this approach?
lol
BINGO!!

That's damn near full drops, isn't it?
oh cool grats
What about slapping ADL with Libra? If you libra the clone, alot of people have 0% on their enmity. If you slapp the real ADL, you will see some people with 100% enmity or all 0% enmitys if it was the clone.
assuming at least anyways...Im not a SCH though and don't know if libra is target based JA or not.
Just curious for figuring out "real" ADL if anyone else has had this experience and had it work-
Some ws, even magic or enspells glitch and change the color of the mob (asetic's fury or aegah come to mind for ws).
I saw this happen the other night while our LS was fighting ADL after split one was still discolored. Unfortunately @ 7% everyone in the alliance except two people seemed to suffer from a mass d/c lol and we lost the fight so I was unable to see if it was indeed the "real" one.
Can't see this tactic being too reliable but if it works, it'd be one more tool in the bag lol
If the pet idea works, I'm going to be a happy man. Anyone test it yet?
Source? Also no one confirmed the widescan thing I believe.
