I use brick wall logic for my gear sets just like you. Doesn't mean its wrong to lower DPS by a 1% for the occational x2 damage proc. Its just as Epeen to degrade people that do that as it is to post pictures of 20k nukes.

In VW i use my mules for COR rolls and Boost-INT that with Aftermath 2 at 299tp its really fun to manaburn as a frontline job riding fanatics. Most mobs I do really well some are magic resistant and not so fun.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I am saying that there's an entire section of this website designed to make fun of people who do things that amount to less, so "because it's a mythic, it's alright" doesn't follow this theme at all. One of the most recent complaints in that thread involves someone WS'ing in Twilight for christ's sake. Both are pretty dumb, and excusing one silly act because it's an expensive silly act is similarly dumb.
