Hmm, just noticed your thread. I really hope they give an actual response finally. I have put in a few bug reports on Glanz and would just like a straight answer if they are glitched or not. Not only does Focus stay at +5% attack, but Dodge stays at Guard+5% from I-V as well. Yes that's what Augments Dodge does btw >.> , not anything to do with counter. If I didn't have to reactivate my characters at the moment just to post, I'd also like to ask them if they'd specify whether Aftermath is or isn't supposed to apply to both hands as well. I assume not, but they did change magian H2H OAX, so who knows.

You post on the official forum in japanese? apparently some guy was underwhelmed with his koga (sam mythic) and the whole third eye crap and he actually got a response.

I was stalking something on ffxiah, saw a bryth post and decided to take a peek. Apparently if you know jp or have a GOOD translator you might be able to luck your way into an explanation. Apparently it was a GM (lol right?) who explained the difference in Third eye enhancement III & IV? Sorry its 2 am here and my head hurts. links below.

According to that post, the effect of Mythic GKT is increased counters, but the chance of Third Eye dropping remains the same.

lol yeah i understood the post. i was posting it for the guy who has mnk mythic and he wanted to see someone from SE actually answer a question about mythics and their bonuses to the ability, me personally i figured it would be some sort of counters due to how relic legs function and when i originally contacted a gm about them in like 2005 or 2006 they couldnt give me the answer straight, he merely told me " you have to be engaged to the monster to see the effect " instead of just saying " bro it added counter to your third eye maybe if youre lucky lol.

I don't really know about Glanzfaust, but on Terpsichore, the way the item is broken down is different from English and Japanese.

In Japanese the text roughly translates (on an upgraded version) as
Improves Step performance and Step Accuracy up V
Pyrrhic Kleos
Aftermath: etc/etc/etc

In english its changed to
Enhances Steps Accuracy V
Augments Steps V
Pyrrhic Kleos
Aftermath:...

The change from a 1 line term to a 2 line term has me pretty convinced its doing exactly what its supposed to on augments steps (nothing beyond the original), and that the only enhancement applies to steps accuracy. Like someone on the localization team was just looking for English lines beginning with Enhances or Augments, and tacked a number onto the end of it.

Yeah, that's why it would be really nice to get a response on the Official Forums whether it is a localization error or not. With Glanzfaust it could be a poor translation as well that is supposed to read "Augments Focus and Augments Dodge V" and they just cut out the augments next to dodge. I am more to believe that it is supposed to effectively be Augments Focus V and Augments Dodge V however as it is not just Focus that is borked, but also Dodge that does not increase at all from I-V.

Now that this is on my mind, has anyone noticed that amano's model grows when drawn? It's most evident on us dhalmel. When sheathed, it is about as long as our leg, but when drawn becomes like 90% of our bodylength.
