And yes taint. i think that yoichi got a better hand compared to most other relics when it comes to trials at least.

Yeah soboro should make it easy. I was doing anni trials with Mkris. With /sam full store tp atmas and decent tp set (basically what I could scroung up for rng lol) and haste from my pocket whm I could self skillchain sometimes from just how fast got melee tp. Last stand to get it low the coronach for the finish

It all started on a dark and stormy night. One little taru had recently completed his level 90 Twashtar and, lacking further trials, did some math to determine the optimal offhand. Was it a STR Knife? A Twilight Knife? ... A level 85 Twashtar? 85 Twashtar... the idea resonated deep inside him, probably between his chubby little belly and his kneeless little legs. "I guess I'd better get back to Abyssea - Tahrongi!"

35 Glavoid Shells and 50 Itz. Scales later, the taru finally finished his VNM trials for a second Twashtar. He approached the moogle and traded it, only to receive the message he had feared to greatly, "You will be unable to receive the reward from this trial." FFFFF all for naught. No matter. These items can be saved in the mog house. Yessssss... our precious shellsssss. I do have a WAR, after all.

There they sat for months and months (slowly being joined by Orthrus Claws) in the mog house waiting for someone to turn them in to a great axe. But there are times when tarus are too lazy to do NM and VNM trials, and sometimes they are all of the times. Finally sufficient FFXI boredom and ennui overtook the taru and he farmed the remaining shells and camped the NMs. Joy! A new toy!

WTF! War only? Shoulda been a Twashtar! Worst. Weapon. Ever. God, I wish I actually used the Moogle dialogues and instead of just spamming X until the stupid animations are over.

Well whatever, it'll fit in my mog house and people will invite me for it! la la la, I'm a taru.

Yeah it's pretty sad. And I know we have it easier than the people that started doing the original trials, but they're still a major drag.

Ragnarok trials are nothing, scourge isn't that bad. You don't know true pain and suffering until you've helped a PLD do Burtgang trials. Do you know how obnoxious it was to do 1500 Atonement kill shots?

The waste was already done, and besides... With Burtgang ignoring the -PDT cap like aegis does, I imaging a Burt/Aegis PLD a really good one to take to legion and supertank whatever is thrown at him.

I'm sure you know it's just a game, and that you can make gils in that game. So where is the waste?

All myhtics suck so your point is moot. Even ryunohige, which I did in the math thread, requires 2x minuets to be slightly better than a basic monk, and that only work for zergs, because for normal use you lose too much time and damage building those 300 TP.

I thought you didn't account for jumps in those calculations, and doesn't it pull ahead significantly with angon+chaos roll? Ignoring the fact that you only even bothered to compare 1 mythic.

[satire]Icarus wings are expensive and hard to use. Zergs aren't 95% of the game now. Hasso is 5% JA haste when subbed. Auto-crits on jumps makes them better than jumping for the TP returns of Spirit/Soul outside of Abyssea. Wyvern does more damage than Spirit Surge. Angon is a waste of merits. Use sushi on hard content. It's hard to press the WS macro more often than every 15 seconds, TP overage is inevitable. Phorcys Gear is too hard to get.[/satire]

Figure I'd just cover as many of the retardations I could think of that would lead to such a conclusion. Double Minuet instead of Chaos Roll? Seriously?

I mean, I'd love to see the math if someone could give a link, but I can't imagine how stacked or stupid the choices involved are. I know pchain hates CORs, but that's what you bring to buff 2-handers, not BRD.
