Am I missing something, or are we all casually ignoring his screenshot testimony?
He cropped out a lot of information, whos to say its not firesday and he got a sch in the party to firestorm him? Because if thats the case, its not an average, thats like a war saying "I always do X damage", when they mean "I always so X damage with MS up".
He obviously has firestorm, that's pretty average. Anyone /sch can firestorm
Too lazy to scroll up, but didn't he also say between 3-5k, followed by a subsequent bullshit with regard to the upper limit he claimed?
Unless I'm mistaken, and I'm pretty sure I'm not, magical WS's like WF shouldnt have any variance, so its sounds more like his average is 3k, when he's got his usual buffs (or strays from buffing melees), and the spikes, where he gets all the buffs, are 5k.
Reading his first post, it sounded like the 5k's happen more often than not, and then changed it up to saying "it doesnt always happen, but it can happen".
I assumed people were calling bullshit on doing against Provenance. There hasn't been too much debate since he said it was the Caturae.
Provenance, as in the zone. Superbuffed cor should still be doing 4k+ last stands to watcher though.
Shook the lazy and reread: this was a case of everyone else not reading. He really didn't allude to consistent 5k's. He called them "spikes" from the get-go.
Errbody's wrong, he's right. Move it along.
Wow seriously? I never said average 3-5k, 3~5k is the range, obviously 5k is spike and it doesn't always happen, that's the same thing as saying a WAR do 3~6k Ukko. I don't think I need to state "5k doesn't always happen" again when it's so obvious. I did not change my statement, more like you added information that 3~5k is average in your head.
Firestorm is standard buff in prov, like Chaos+fighter is standard buff, it's same thing like WAR saying "I always do X damage in prov" when they mean "I always do X damage with Chaos+DA in prov", you should always get one, what's the point to say it again? It was a discussion about how to put extra roll up on melee and whether to do it or not mid-battle, not a discussion about dealing damage, so I wasn't planning to waste time and list all the standard buffs/atma and average WS numbers in various conditions when it wasn't even the point.
standard is for SCH to wind up in melee party? Shit must be done differently on Ragnarok then because the standard here is one of the blm's sub sch lol.
No. Any job sub SCH can firestorm, you don't need SCH main to firestorm. Standard DD pt is usually DDx3+ WHM+BRD+COR or DDx4+BRD+COR. So just have BRD or WHM sub SCH to firestorm. It's not like BRD or WHM need other SJ to get their job done, but you can increase the pt output quite a bit and kill faster if you have BRD or WHM SJ SCH.
Was quick math so rounded out and forgot about agi merits and new gear but I'll do more complete now since I got the time. Plus was still kinda wondering at who the heck /blms and still gets firestorm kept on them. Plus Also missed the whole having boost agi and agi songs on.... which again kinda blows my mind lol.
But you say you were /blm with those atmas so let's see cor wf set isn't too much different than rng so making a few obvious changes if I geared my cor for wf (and I had a tess saio /sigh) it should have 202 agi 61 mab with just gear. Now you gain another 15 MAB and 10 agi from atmacites. As well up to 16 MAB from roll, 25 from drink and +15 stat from drinks. 25 from boost not really sure about songs so I'll leave that out
So that by itself would put me at 252 agi, 117 mab, 20% dmg bonus from fireshot, 15% from staff, 15% from atmacite and 20 from weather/iridescences. Assuming a mob int of 100 yeah even without day I get neutral mdb/mdt dmg of 6454. So even though I'm sure they have a little I can see 5k.
Though that is a rather larger amount of buffs than I'd on cor lol. And near perfect gear. Like only thing I really gimped on was using lvl 85 anni and tess saio instead of khepri I think
I'd say it also depend on proc.
Most of the prov was done before lock buff nerf, so a SCH mule casting embrava for all fights can lower the gap between ranged job and melees(tones of chain proc to recharge wings also lower the gap). On top of not having to deal with AoE/status aliment/curse outside of range. Again, "Parse top" is just like 5k WF, it's a "it did happen, but doesn't always happen" thing, not sure why is it a big deal.
It's exactly the same amount of buffs other melees getting though, melees also get STR boost, 2+ songs and 2 rolls. It's not like ally sacrificed a spot to buff COR and that's more efficient way to use manpower, better than WHM and BRD just stand there and only sing/cure when they can contribute to higher output.
Was calling bullshit on the parsing top. As people have said, 3k average sounds fine, and you've shown how high it can spike with everything lining up perfectly. But you still won't be parsing top.
Problem is, when you make one rediculous claim (like passing top) it automatically makes people question the rest of what you say, even if the rest is accurate. There's really no need to exaggerate things like that - it only goes against you.
It's provenance, you usually have a Sch in the ally (mainly to Embrava for PW), at which point they'd probably be accessioning firestorm for stormsurge bonus. Well, I say probably, they should be but normally thy're probably not.
On a related topic, assuming shitty pug group and no one else is giving you firestorm, would /sch for storm be better than /blm for mab trait for mobs where you're just WFing and not LSing?
It is possible to avg 3.7k WF on firesday btw.
This is not an exaggeration, because it did happened many times depend on situations/proc/how fast the fight goes and whether you used embrava, as long as it did happen it's not bullshit. I don't think I need to post parses of COR on top to prove it since you will just go "your DDs sucked" or "your DDs are just procing".
If I said "I always parse top every fight"(I used the word "often", but I'm not going to pull out hundred of parses I had and count the % of Prov KIBC parses with COR on top to determine which word to use), or if I said "parse top in legion" then its most likely bullshitting. However prov BC fight parse has a lot of outside factors affecting the parse, such as how good the healers are, status aliment, which temp you got when you proc and so on. I've seen several different ppl parse top in KI BCs in same ally, and top parsers are often different in every fight. Every DD have the ability to top the parse as long as they're not severely gimp.
More like you're overreacting with the term "parse top" when it's just a description of what happened in the fight, not a description to determine which job is stronger.
trying too hard
Bandwagon etc.
