you really think any parse in VW means you r a good player?

    The answer is no.

In VW, like many have said here, there are over 9000 reason why player A doesnt do better than player B.

there are too many scenarios/restrictions/randomness in the event, i mean zerg.
for real some people dont even bring full gear sets to shitty NMs like akvan, and no one even give a shit

Me and a friend did a qilin run with us multiboxing like 7 characters before lol. Though you can still tell if someone is completely terrible by their dmg in vw, some people are just beyond awful, it's staggering.

Where did I say that? Can people please stop thinking it was ever about yourself being a good player. I said before it's about other people being bad lol.

Do you even tell the people you are parsing? Secretly going full blast while others slacking off is another reason you will out parse em.

imop, outparsing someone is outparsing someone. Losing a run because of slacking off is symptomatic of a larger problem, "sucking."

1/2 true... if your not telling someone your parsing, chances are that you will not give a fuck to procing, single ! for example, while others may wanna help pt with single ! proc even tho melee nowadays were told to proc !!! and above only

this case itself already pull you ahead in parse easily and thats a difference than simply "sucking"

no excuse for slacking tho, but its VW.....slackers/dual box mules always get the loot with a star!!! XD

A parse running shouldn't be affecting playstyle. It's just the sign of a poor/lazy player. Regardless the only way to really tell that in VW is if their weaponskills used and/or damage output are astronomically low compared to others.

Melee procs are almost* never worthwhile anyways, but I've actively paid attention to procs on MNK (including staff and club), and have still ended up on top of parses before. Granted, I have KClub and Mercurial Pole. Still, some people are just awful. Having to proc isn't really an excuse.

If you get kicked out of the alliance because you didn't switch to a staff for that V proc, you definitely lose the parse!

    I hate Lakshmi sometimes.

terribad people are terribad no doubt

wat im saying is if your parsing, then i take it as you are going to compete with people who are worthwhile.......

if you know people sucked, example /shouts, and you knew u will win even w/o parsing.... then srsly the only reason to parse is to see how suck they are and not abt player A >>>> Player B or Me >>>> you

i dont even have to parse to know i did way more than others in /shout even if i do single ! procs, but if you wanna parse against someone you think is close to you, then yes, procing does affect the competition

and for VW, like someone said, the only thing you can really "compare" is average main WS damage

It's actually a useful tool to get people to up their game. Soon as they know they're being parsed, they try harder. I didn't understand why people parsed full alliances for VW and stuff before someone pointed that out to me. Before that I'd just parse myself whilst filtering other people out.

As a very bad VW player (and even more bad in general) myself, I find it funny how when you mention you're "going to parse the VW run" makes all of the DD work +1 harder in terms of DDing. However, capping red/blue becomes a problem. The simple mention of a parse in chat usually clues people in to wreckshop and forgo other VW duties. Because no one wants to lose badly in a parse.

Anyways who cares, VW won't be so big an event in 50 odd days, lol.

funny I was in a VW just yesterday where the first couple kills went just dandy, then someone mentions parsing, next kill it dies at like 280% red cuz half the people won't proc and won't turn when it's 5% with uncapped lights

Keeping up with the theme of shitting up the relic/mythic thread:

Thank you so much Cairthenn! I couldn't have wasted all of this alexandrite without you! Well, at least not this fashionably.
