Back when DI/SW drops were selling like hot cakes, my LS had a 4 week lock on them. Not hard to make relic money if your selling 10-20M worth of stuff per day on top of the other gil sources. We pumped out 3 relics in about 8 weeks.

I was helping a friend buy coins for his shield.

He'd toss me a couple mil and give me prices, I'd go check when I was bored.

One day I open this bazaar and I shit you not I didn't see anything... so I close it.

Then I realize that I did in fact see something, my eyes simply denied that I had just seen a bazaar full of jades and silverpieces.

He went from something like 30% to about 50% done in the time it took to get that person to run back into their MH and back out with all their coins, and to talk them down from jacking the prices up as we bought them out.

It happens, dyna shell breaks, someone is upgrading and quits, etc, you wind up with taru girls running around with 40 100's in their pocket.

Like Uryuu said, can easily be done with a shell that dominates a server. Some servers have 1-2 shells that does everything. Why can't it be like this on Odin. -.-'

For people that are patient S.Belt should be over 35m on almost no servers right now. Over 40 is almost unheard of and still pretty ridiculous. But I'd rather pay 40 for a Speed Belt that I can trade and sell than 35 for a r/ex item. And currently speed belt is 25m on pretty much no server.

Speed Belts run for 35 or so here if you're patient. I was able to sell mine in less than a day for 30 back when I got it.
