the 99 ones, everyone that is stuck with a weapon at 90 or 95 is stuck, which imho is a good thing.

It pains me to say it but yeah, I agree, on the long run it will be a good thing (but they need to ease up the limits on the meritable WS if they're gonna kick in the nutts people who of course can't afford to bring Relics/Empys to 99!)

Maybe I'm missing something (because of the weapon I chose being a beast) but looking at Ragnarok99 vs Crobaci(Aug) the Crobaci is just very slightly better (sidegrade margins) and only if you allow for 6 5/5 Bard songs and 2 XI rolls. Take off all the fluff and you get Rag99 still being ahead of even a 166D weapon because you don't have to sacrifice gear for it.

If I'm wrong, then so be it and SE screwed the pooch for all of the reasons we all know. From what I saw, SE made Relic99 the base requirement for their 'gear check' and provided a way for everyone to get near it.

The issue I would see is what fucking monstrosity will be required to upgrade R/E/M 99 and will it even be worth it.

The NQ GS might actually be a better weapon if it lets you 5-hit easier. D247, 480 delay, 7 STR, 40 Acc, 30 Attack. We're at the point where minor changes in delay will affect TP gain, and that might matter more than an extra point of base damage, STR, Acc, and Atk.

with such high damage weapons, don't think we will be able to reach the STR cap for damage ratings.

Of course with such high dmg ratings another point or 2 of fstr means a tad less as well

You missed attack speed too. Even if it will only be marginally slower.
