Quests or NPC vendors are the sole source of new gil that I know of. Also, I find it quite amusing that everyone is worried about Wildgrass farming getting nerfed (like 30-50k per character every 5 days. At max 16 mules getting 50k/mule, that is 160k/day. Not a )bad chunk of change for a short amount of work, but I doubt you will be pulling in that much (or want to spend that much per month).

In addition, this more than doubles your monthly fee. Think how happy SE is to get eveyone's $10 from ACP. Why would they nerf a player money making method that they can only profit from. While SE's motivation towards the well being of its' world is debatable, its motivation towards its' own profits is not. SE loves gardeners (just not the ones on temp accounts).

Also, if SE is going to nerf any high gil influx, it will be fishing (you can make 160-200k/day just fishing up and npcing black sole). For a time, you could even make 300k/day AHing Black sole, but now you might as well NPC it the price is so deflated. I really hope they dont nerf it, but I cant deny that it is the sweetest tit to suckle.

I wish I could get black sole to have a bite rate such that I could NPC 180-200k worth a day. Easy Mode Relic go!

The lightning crystals raising in price may have to do with smithers massively desynthing beastmen armor for the goblin bag quest ingot.
Yeah problem is, it's every sort of crystal (baring maybe earth crystals), waters are at the high end at around 5k.

I think it has to do with the fact that RMT find these "tricks" and exploits them, ending in SE nerfing them, rather than players. Also like someone said, it puts new money into circulation, which I believe is necessary for the economy.

Yeah, it is true that you dont always bring in that many per day. I had terrible grades last term cause I spent all my time fishing. So I am going light on it for now. I only pull up 200 like 3days per week now, but I try and get at least 100 the other days.

It is not always easy, but it definitely pays off.

Yeah, you can pull in 200k in a day off soles if...

You fish for 10 hours to catch 200 of them and then wait until maintence to sell them all to a vendor at high prices.

so yeah, 200k every 3-4 months.

realistically? 100k in 5 hrs a day to vendor. Or be smart and sell em on AH for more.

Fatigue hits first branch at 100, then another at 125 i think? then another at 150, and another at 175.

By 150, your gonna be suffering horrible results and drastically slows down catch rate.

Materials have spiked like crazy on Seraph...

I used to be able to go to Windurst or Selbina to buy up silk and/or crawler cocoons cheap (I love desynth) but now they're constantly sold out, and silk threads have jumped from 10k to 17k while cloths are a whopping 60!

Other basic materials (like Iron) have shot up significantly as well (3k for earth crystals now too, WTF 1000% price increase)

Malacite, price jumps usually happen when someone is powering through a level. Like just today I bought out all AHs of Ram Horns, which means I wont be able to touch the things for at least a week. Luckily I got my bone mule through that level stretch so it isnt an issue for me.

Aikar, I wouldnt say 100k/week. Yeah, Black Sole are better left to the bots, but there are other places where you fish for decent money in a much shorter time and still make over 100k/day (Nashmau anyone?). Also, as for exhaustion, I seem to start running into it around 150. I never notice any change before then. Course, that is just eyeballing it, it may be more subtle before then.

Eh it does not get that bad till around 150 I would say, but it is there. Make a macro and set lowish delays in a spot after 100 fish,(with a lure that wont get anything) you will see there starts to be a delay. It gets really bad after 150 I think. Numbers I do not know off the top of my head but it does start way before 150.

I also think it depends on the fish too. When I fish gugs I can start to feel it at like 20 gugs landed. though this might be because i lose like 4/5 gugs i get on the line. I am way to lazy to test that though and take down every cast. I guess I could make a echo macro that adds up all my casts :0 will see lol

yeah big fish will make you fatigue faster, just 'normal' fish follow the 100/150/175/200=none line.

    and i said 100k/day not 100k/week lol.

Soles are perfect to be fished, dont need to worry bout bots. honestly not much point to bot em if you wanna vendor em. You can make alot more money/hour in nashmau instead.

Ah, I must have misread, you did say something like 200k per 3-4 months, maybe you meant fish instead of gil? Ah well. Nashmau is pretty nice for fast npc fishing.

Silk has been a consistent 10k for a very long time though (years even) and just out of the blue spikes to 17k. Reeks of RMT to me.

I wish I could get mine to run. Seems like the Treo OS is incompatible with FF (even though it I'm sure it exceeds the minimum specs).

What, you don't think that the bans on real RMTs cuts down on the supply of things such as crafting materials? While they are part of the problem of bringing in too much gil into the system, they also contribute to the supply of certain items. Prices have generally been on the rise recently, and a lot has to do with the fact that more and more people get banned. So the lack of "producers" means a drop in the supply, while demand remains essentially the same. Naturally, price will go up.

ha ha, I don't think it was the RMT that caused SE to nerf the rusty cap > padded cap bonanza years ago, that was just the influx of HUNDREDS of players into Rabao at the same time, fishing up rusty items, and the price of Light clusters going up to like 5K.

I think a truism that applies here is that any way that normal players can make money, RMT can do it better. Their only limitations now are what they can do on trial accounts (aside from the money they make off real players selling them gil).
