Comprehensive iPhone Apps/Jailbreak Thread

I'm posting here since it's an iPhone problem and it's also related to apps. So the problem i'm having is that everytime I try to open a 3rd party app that i've downloaded it cloeses right away. It started when I jailbroke it before and I just decided to restore the phone to get rid of the jailbrake and use my apps again... Well it didn't work and the apps still don't open even after restoring the phone 3 times.

Is there anyway to fix this problem or an I fucked? I don't mind jailbreaking my phone again if it fixes this problem since the apple guy said there isn't a fix for it yet.

EDIT: I have a 3gs 32gig if that matters.

Only thing I can think of is maybe the app is bad or.. try deleting some text messages/call logs and reboot the phone I've had a similar problem and that did the trick.

Did you download the application off cydia needed to run cracked apps? You can't just simply download and go.

Well my phone isnt jailbroken anymore and I don't have any cracked apps installed. All the apps im trying to use came from the Apple store. I've deleted them and reinstalled them and also deleted them from iTunes and nothing works.

But to answer your question Tyche, I never downloaded an app off of cydia when it was jailbroken to run cracked apps. Would it be a lot easlier to rejailbrake it and use that to solve my problem? If so what's the program you need to have cracked apps run.

for the Ipod side of things:

When I'm listening to music occasionally the traditional view switches to the album covers that I can browse through (this happens when I tilt the Ipod/Iphone sideways). Is there any way to remove this type of view without Jailbreaking? I find this view more annoying than it is helpful.

Only if your contacts are already being synced by some offsite place like gmail. Otherwise, you are screwed.

yea, I jail broke it.. but i have no idea how to ssh stuff >_>, i told him just take it to T-Mo, maybe they can hook it up to the machine they use to back up contacts and sync them to new phones for people

I've got a plan to buy an iPhone 3GS 16gb for day to day use, and an iTouch 64gb for the long trips I regularly make (twice or 3 times a week)

Will there be any complications in having 2 devices on 1 PC? i.e. will iTunes try to strip 1 and then sync with the other, etc, or will it treat it as 2 completely seperate devices?
