Got my iPhone, it's firmware is one that can be jailbroken,woo!

Any suggestions on what to use to tether to a laptop. Going to need to use it for vacation. I seen modem in cydia as well as a few others.

I use pdanet.........

It was awesome when free, and recently they added some fee like $50 for a license......but a quick google can find you a older copy of pdaNet that is still free.

haha. my jailbreak is tethered :[ but for some reason it wont run if i turn it on and plug it into a different computer.. did i not finish my jailbreak or something?

So............. Justin.tv put out a free app in the app store to watch whatever people are streaming on their website.

So for those that don't know about www.justin.tv its pretty much like ustream, and people tend to stream South Park, Family Guy, Movies 24/7

I'm having an issue with my gf's phone where she selects and app, it starts to open, and goes back to the springboard. When my phone did this, I sync'ed it and it fixed but that isnt the case with hers. Are there any suggestions I could try or maybe someone point me in a direction of some? Thanks. Also, any news on a 3.1.3 jailbreak yet for 3G(S)?

This may be a silly question, but when i click on the blackrain link, all i get is a toolbar. Is that it or am i a dummy? I don't see the actual app to open.

how does one work a tethered jailbreak?

You jailbreak like you normally would.....

But if your phone turns off, or restarts you need to hook it back up to your pc and jailbreak it again for your phone to work. You do not lose any data, it just gets you out of the phones restore state.

I've been running a tethered jailbreak fir awhile now, and only time I had issues was turning off my phone while out of town for a meeting lol
