If you're on t-mobile, I don't think the 3G will work? Or maybe it's the other way, a t-mobile 3G phone won't run 3G on AT&T's network. Hell, I don't know.

Geohat has a exploit for all iphones/ipods/ipads that is supposedly unknown to other hackers, however he announced yesterday he has no plans on working on a iphone 4 jailbreak.

Question. I'm about to jailbreak my iPhone so I can get a bit more for it on Ebay. I want to also unlock it, but I see that "it can be dangerous" At this point it wouldn't be my concern as I'm selling it. All I have to do to JB/unlock is do the first two things in the thread? I'm assuming jailbreak then unlock.

Dunno about that one....... following twitter, they seem to be actually done with a jailbreak/unlock and just need to figure out how to package it.

Not to mention, it doesn't look like the 4.1 update would be coming anytime soon. Since apple usually releases 2-3 beta tests for developers to try out, and from what i've heard the current beta isn't scheduled to end until august 18th.

They've had the Jailbreak done for ages. Point is they are waiting on 4.1 so apple doesn't close up the holes right away.

Those twitter accounts contain up to date information. Comex is the creator of Spirit, MuscleNerd and PB are both working on the Unlock, which should release at the same time as Spirit. Now its just time to wait.

Does anyone know a working way to get around iTune error 1600 or 1604 when trying to restore?

I'm trying to restore/jailbreak it with os 4.0 custom restore via Pwnage Tool but I keep getting the error no matter what I try (unplug USB, try different USB port, turn off phone,etc...)

Apple signs off on the SHSH, and if you don't save it and you need to downgrade, you're screwed because apple won't sign the older versions. Save the SHSH, and if you upgrade and find yourself without a JB/unlock or the OS version just sucks, you can always revert back.

well I heard they stopped signing the SHSH, is this something they do through itunes? or just over your carrier signal?

since updating to 4.0 when it came out I just realized that I haven't had MMS messaging when I definitely had it before i upgraded.

also: I no longer have visual voicemail. My phone gives me no indication at all when I have a new voicemail now....

I was jailbroken before I updated to 4.0 and was wondering if there is any way to get these features back?

Probably lost those when you restored your phone, from a backup when your iphone was jailbroken.

Backup your phone again, factory reset it and see if MMS/Voicemail works before you restore from a backup
