Can anyone ssh into their phone and get me the system/library/core services/springboard.app/english.lproj/springboard.strings file? I messed with mine without making a back up and now my phone has a few issues with displaying some of the things inside it.

Make sure your blobs are stored on Cydia, cpich3g of the dev-team is tweeting that 4.0.2/4.1 will be released in the next few hours. Obviously, do not upgrade until the dev-team and/or comex speaks on the update and if it is safe. (This is expected to be NOT SAFE for jailbreakers. It's positive to be unsafe for unlockers)

your blobs are stored then. If downgrading is needed for jailbreaking you will be fine.

I have them stored on my pc and a flash drive, but they are also stored by cydia? How do I access them?

And if i need them, how do i use them. Through tinyumbrella somehow?

Tinyumbrella is your easiest way. It can "loop" the signing thru Cydia's servers to sign off your earlier firmware even after Apple stops.

For those of you using MyWi, would you recommend it as a purchase or has anyone used a cracked version?
I've been trying to crack it but many tutorials are outdated/dont work etc.

Depends what you need. If all you ever need it for is USB tethering, not worth the money. But if the hot spot features, and that kind of stuff are needed, then yes, get it.

(If only need USB Tethering, get ThetherMe for something like 1.99)

I had a older cracked version on my 3GS before the iphone 4 came out, but rarely used it..... used it maybe once on a trip to NY.

Since I started working nights, and recently jailbreaking my iphone 4 I couldn't get any cracked versions to work at all.... so I just bought it. Hefty price, but worth every penny since I use it all night.

Sorry it's not a jailbreak question, but I wanna know if anyone tested the new Justin.tv App version that let you stream on 3g or WIFI

Kinda wanna know how much data it takes on 3g to stream.

I also tried the "cracking" method for MyWi. TBH I've probably tried every way possible, all of them being an annoying since they only last so long. Since the authentication server gives your phone a unique ID which contacts their server. Its easy for them to see how many days you've actually been running in "Trial mode" (3 days is the normal limit). I've also heard they blacklist those users after being in trial mode for so long. Supposedly wiping the phone completely or changing iOS version gives you a new unique ID.

Anyways I suggest just buying it, the damned App unlike a lot of the other garbage on Cydia DOES work, and works great at that. Only thing I am disappointed with is only have Ad-hoc support (PS3/Xbox) cant use it. In their "Coming features" they show they will be adding that feature in the future by giving infrastructure support iirc. I just hope they dont charge users AGAIN like they did to previous purchasers when they released their newest (current version).
