Anyone else having problems with 3g after jailbreaking with Greenpois0n?

I have an iPhone 4 running firmware 1.59 jailbroken with greenpois0n to 4.1 but my 3g connection seems to have crapped out on me. Slower than normal, to the point where Speetest wouldn't even run 80% of the time, stuck on the "pinging" portion.

Need some help here.....

Iphone 4, was running 4.1 and upgraded to 4.2.1 today. I also jailbroke the device via redsn0w and everything seemed to work correctly.

After the update, and jailbreak I went forward with installing cydia updates. It prompted me to restart device so I did, I then re-ran redsn0w to enforce the tethered jailbreak.

Once the jailbreak completed, it put my phone in recovery mode and I can not get out of it.

Tinyumbrella and recboot can not get my phone out of recovery mode, it just restarts right into recovery mode.

I've restored multiple times, including in DFU mode and while tinyumbrella TSS server was running. All with a 1013 itunes error everytime.

What else can I do before trying to get my phone replaced by apple?

Screw it, I downgraded back to 4.1.... no issues now lol

I mostly wanted airplay, and airprint and thats pretty much it.

I ended up getting a program to print, but do you know anything that can work like airplay?

So far my dealings with Grove have been amazing. First email I got was about a week after I ordered. They told my picture didn't upload correctly and to please send reply back to the email with it. Then about 2 weeks ago I got an email from one of them telling me my picture probably wouldn't align correctly to the side cutout and camera hole the way I would want, and sent me a revised version he did (adjusting a touch on the size, position, and perspective) to something that would fit better and asked me if I approved the changes. The changes were wonderful and I told him to go with it. I can't believe that kind of service still exists these days. To actually look at every custom order, and take the time to do changes on possible issues, and the communication involved.

the service alone as been worth the price I paid for it. Now I just can't wait to have it in my hands.

I'm looking for a new case for my phone, before I break down and buy one of the 3 artist groves I've been avoiding for months. Anyone have any suggestions? Right now I'm using the apple rubber one that goes around the outside that I got free. I liked my old switcheasy rebel I had for my 3G, but was unhappy with the nudes they make after a while.

Well, if you can wait till about Mon-Wed when I get my case, I'll let you know for sure how good the Grove case is. I'm like you, my love for the nude lasted for a couple of days, but then I started getting really upset with it. I've been happy with my free one so far (the carbon fiber looking one from Belkin.) Although the rubber outside has been getting lose and isn't holding as well.

Quick question:

I have a 3GS running 3.1.3 jailbroken by spirit, I'm looking to upgrade to 4.0.1 and using the jailbreakme.com technique. Problem is, when i'm trying to update my iphone through iTunes to 4.0.1, it keeps asking me to update to 4.2 which I really don't want to do. Any possible way to get around this?

Also, I know I have to update my iTunes to 9.2 at least, i'm still running 9.1, just need a bit of help before I do anything dumb. lol

Apple isn't signing anything below 4.2 Unless you have your blobs saved for 4.0.1, then no, you won't be able to update to anything else.

Any possible way to do that at this point? All i have is the ipsw file for 4.0.1 on my pc.

I guess if there isn't anything i can do then i can't play infinity blade.

Without your blobs, then no. But you can jailbreak 4.2.1, so I don't see the issue.

And Infinity Blade is fucking awesome.

4.2 is 4.2.1, there was no 4.2 release, it was only Beta
