MyWi for just straight tether, never used it as a wifi hotspot.


and I plan on calling them in the morning about it, mainly because well....... I could easily use 5gb+ a month just streaming Netflix from my phone instead of my 2gb of tethering lol

You should be able to call them and tell them that you'll stop doing it and that will be the end of it, especially if this is your first warning. You need to be careful, they're going to start forcing those who illegally tether to move to a capped data plan.

I honestly wouldn't even mind paying a few extra a month to tether (beats paying $50/month somewhere else for a hotspot)..... but I guess you can't keep the unlimited while paying for tethering. heh

How does Cydia apps work when you upgrade your phone (or update the iOS and have to re-jailbreak)? I'm mainly concerned about app's I had to buy. Are they specific to the phone or linked to your account? Because My3g had a disclaimer about it only working for one idevice. So if i upgrade to a newer phone I need to rebuy it?

Is there a way to sync my pictures/videos to a new laptop with a freshly installed iTunes without it getting deleted? I need to update my phone due to it crashing every fucking hour, but I really don't wanna lose my pics/vids.

pictures and videos can be grabbed just by plugging the phone in and going to your windows explorer and selecting your phone. Windows treats it just like a digital camera.

Gave at&t a call, and just told them I would flat out stop tethering......... the operator was asking me if i had my phone jailbroken and miyi installed, and I pretty much just said it was none of their business.

Operator told me if my phone had miwi installed on it, and was not on the latest firmware then they could claim I was still tethering, and change my plan anyways.

Assholes.

Well, I meant for tethering....... since you could tether on a android phone, I figured AT&T/Verizon were cracking down on all tethering. Not just iphone tethering

I finally JB'd my iphone for the first time and I'm kind of overwhelmed with where to begin. Essentially the main thing I want to put onto my iphone is a GPS and free games. In specific I want FFtactics war of the lions and angry birds. How do I go about downloading these and putting them on my iphone?

Any recommendations for using flash websites (mostly for occasional facebook games) on an iphone? I'm currently using the Photon browser, it isn't bad, but wondering if there is something better.

iphone 4, jailbroken if that matters...
