I removed dreamboard too. Before I did, I removed all the themes I downloaded and then dreamboard, not sure if that will help or not. But you can always reinstall and remove it.

That would be my suggestion also. Re-add, then delete. Sometimes that helps screwy deletes.

I noticed every time I had to respring with Dreamboard, it took way too long or crashed.

It requires Iconoclasm (again its free with ihacksrepo.com - yes pirating jailbreak apps is bad, but fuck tits) 3x3 sparse setting

Have winterboard enabled with only 3 things (for that theme displayed) - Ls bulb, small widget, and Avid HD over all of it

iFile in to the html file and edit the var locale (i think? its this or the yahoo weather code) to the yahoo weather code ( i think i used my US zip and its fine )

Note: it doesn't come with a wood dock, I'm trying to find one

Yeah. His LS's don't actually have anything to make them tap to unlock, just the image of where to tap.

You need to get a separate theme for that; I'm using "iPhone 4 Tap to Unlock" (off Bigboss repo). Its clear so you can tap the image from whatever LS you have without mucking it up with an ugly button. Once you have the other theme, make sure to unhide your slider in Springtomize (or whatever you're using) or else tap to unlock won't work.

I've never been a fan of tap to unlock.

But I always peep in on Macthemes and Macrumors forums to check out other user submitted themes.

As far as iOS 5 goes - its shaping up to be really accessible without the need to jailbreak. So far I can only see a handful of jailbreak tweaks that I would use (minus theming, because fucking hell iOS vanilla is ugly)

Hello,

I'm trying to import my phone's contacts to my Google account... I deleted all email & calendar accounts from my phone to start new, and set Google up as Exchange w/m.google.com. My mail works fine, my Calendar shows up fine, the contacts never show up under "My Contacts" in Gmail (which I made sure was empty before trying to link my phone at all). Is there something really obvious I might be missing? Pretty much every search result makes this seem trivial, as I would think it would be...


Edit: doing it through an iTunes sync (which I didn't want to do) worked, so at least there's that. still no clue why the Exchange account method wasn't working... but I'm happy

Sure it masks the packets being sent, but I still believe att is just sending tethering messages out to those with spikes in data traffic.

The San Francisco Police Department has changed its tune. It now says officers did come to the home of Sergio Calderón, looking for a missing iPhone 5, but that only Apple employees went inside, according to The SF Weekly. Updated

After previously telling both Gizmodo and The SF Weekly that the San Francisco police had no record of being involved, SFPD spokesperson now tells The SF Weekly that "three or four" officers did in fact take part in a July search of Calderón's home. However, these plainclothes officers apparently did not enter the premises.

Calderón confirmed to The SF Weekly that only two people entered his home, who were apparently Apple employees. However he was under the impression that these too were police officers. None of the people who came to his home identified themselves as Apple employees. As the Weekly reports:

"When they came to my house, they said they were SFPD," Calderón said. "I thought they were SFPD. That's why I let them in." He said he would not have permitted the search if he had been aware the two people conducting it were not actually police officers.

So in essence, the SFPD came over, flashed badges, seemingly made threats, and then stood by while private citizens searched the Calderón home. Oh, and then they conveniently forgot about it.

Yet, it's still not clear exactly who questioned Calderón and his family's immigration status (they're legal) or why. Nor are we clear on whether or not officers were there in an official capacity. Obviously, much in this story is still developing.

Update: The SFPD has released an official statement detailing the July search of Sergio Calderón's home:

After speaking with Apple representatives, we were given information which helped us determine what occurred. It was discovered that Apple employees called Mission Police station directly, wanting assistance in tracking down a lost item. Apple had tracked the lost item to a house located in the 500 block of Anderson Street. Because the address was in the Ingleside Police district Apple employees were referred to Officers in the Ingleside district. Four SFPD Officers accompanied Apple employees to the Anderson street home. The two Apple employees met with the resident and then went into the house to look for the lost item. The Apple employees did not find the lost item and left the house.

The Apple employees did not want to make an official report of the lost item.

Which clears up why the police showed up and why there was no report filed, but it doesn't exonerate the SFPD from allowing Apple to conduct a search under false pretenses.

is there any way to backup all your jailbreak stuff? My screen is bleeding so most likely gonna be getting a replacement and want to avoid needing to redo everything if at all possible.

AptBackup will remember all your packages and redownload all of them after you rejailbreak. Understand though, if you are getting a replacement, it's gonna come with 4.3.5 and the only jailbreak available will be a tethered jailbreak.

the good news from My Great Fest, looks like the Chronic Dev team might already have multiple untethereds ready for iOS5.

that's terrible. Is this something apple did to prevent jailbreaking? I don't see why it would suddenly change. It's a huge pita

meh, it sounds like an untethered may not be available until iOS 5, so may just wait for that before I bring my phone in since my current iOS is 4.3.0
