just a heads-up on the tmobile unlimited- Yes it does work. However it requires the Tmobile IPCC file loaded to the phone.

The other heads-up is that tmobile sims can sometimes un-unlock, however that can be reduced greatly by NOT installing ICY on the phone via redsn0w.

Other than that, hunting for a way to do BT tethering for my Iphone so I don't have to pull sim and put the sim back in my W490 :/

Finally unlocked my iphone the other day and curious - has anyone noticed a difference in speed with the PSX emulator since the 3.0 upgrade? I have a 3G phone, not a 3GS.

Unsure if rates are different across the country but here in NYC, the rates are:

1. data: $30.00/mo (must have)

2. anytime minutes w/rollover (must pick one):
450: $39.99/mo (+5000 ngt/wknd)
900: $59.99/mo (+UNL ngt/wknd)
1350: $79.99/mo (+UNL ngt/wknd)
UNL: $99.99/mo

3. texting (optional):
200: $5.00/mo
1500: $15.00/mo
UNL: $25.00/mo

-> basically your cheapest plan is going to be ~$85/mo after service fees, activation, and taxes in your area.

There are also a bunch of other features like family map, at&t navigator, world connect, international rates, roaming add-ons, etc etc.

That's what the $30 data charge is for, so thats included in the $85/month (or whatever else you choose).

On a separate note, I just got a 3GS yesterday! One problem though, my 3G doesn't even seem to be working. I can get calls and texts, and I can connect to the internet via WiFi, but I can't connect via 3g. Anyone have a problem like this? Any way I can fix it without having to take it back to the store :/

Well 3G only kicks in when there are no WiFi networks in the area and it uses up a lot more battery than WiFi does. You can manually turn off WiFi in settings also. That would be a good way to check and see if you have 3G on your phone at all. Try that and if you don't see the 3G icon come up right away, then something's up. At the very least you'd have the Edge network ('E').

It could also mean that either your area does not have 3G coverage (like if you live in a cave in the Nevada desert) or that the coverage area itself is just really poor.

Ended up having to go back to the ATT store. Man it ended up being such a hassle getting this phone working. Its on a family plan, but a business account which apparently is a double wammy in the world of annoyances to get the phone working. First ordered it at an ATT store on Monday, wasn't gonna be in until today (Friday). Checked online, and it got in on Weds, so I picked it up on Thurs.

After I picked it up, very little was working, no phone/texts/obviously 3g. Had to go back where I learned the guy apparently forgot to activate the new SIM card. So got that turned on, thought it was fine and went home. Soon I realized the 3g wasn't working though (as mentioned earlier).

Was too late to go back, so I just called ATT the next day. They said I didn't have the data plan at all, and refused to do anything for me unless I upgraded or broke off of the family voice plan. I of course said fuck that, because we have 2003 rates ($40 with no addons, 10 per extra phone). Would have cost $30 extra on a new rate plan, and then another $30 for the data plan. Would have cost even more if I broke off the plan.

So I go down to the store pissed off, but for no need. Apparently, they can force shit through the computers pretty easily down there and they managed to tack on the data plan they forgot to add in the first place without changing anything else. Glad that shits over finally, god I hate ATT.

Anyone heard anything about a potential iPhone virus? Seems a specially coded SMS message can give you a virus or something to that affect. First I heard of it today.

Here's mine. Not much in the way of unique like yours, but still required a bit of effort. Basically a modified/expanded Bluebird theme, using the Bluebird theme, 5 Column Dock, 5 Column Springboard, and Categories. I also hunted down some extra icons to fit the theme, including sliders, as well as the lockscreen background by the same artist who designed the theme.

You would have to re-jailbreak, but you can indeed be jailbroken on 3.0.1. That's what I have right now at least.
