Meh, guess iPhone 5 wont be until Summer of '12. I think the original assumption from a while ago was that fall would be the iPhone 5 and Summer iPhone 6. Better battery is tempting, but not gonna upgrade yet when iphone 5/6 is supposed to be the real upgrade.

Next wednesday, the 12 will launch ios 5 and icloud.

Iphone 3GS is now free for 8gb with contract, Iphone 4 will only be sold in 8GB form now but its 100$, Iphone 4S is 199$ for 16GB, 299$ for 32GB and a 64GB model for 399$.

Iphone 4S will be avaliable on the 14th with reorders on the 7th for At&t, sprint, and verizon.

I was looking to get an iPhone (currently have first generation Droid), but I'll be switching to my girlfriends plan and can only get a partial upgrade.

I can use her drug dealer (Go Phone) until april for a full discount or pay whatever a partial upgrade is.

To be honest though, they could have unveiled a iPhone 4S being carried by half dead Steve Jobs riding a unicorn and people still would have been disappointed. Only thing that would have appeased the masses would have been the iPhone 5 thin design, and even then all the whole "omg it looks like the Galaxy SII" comments would have started.

How did apple handle early upgrades to the 4? I want to get a 4s but just bought my 4 in April of this year so my upgrade is long from due. Will I still be able to get one for the 199 price or would I have to pay full price for one? I'm really skeptical about paying any more than 200 for a phone. :/

Just wait, no real reason to upgrade unless you have to have the greatest and latest iPhone. iPhone 4 is already a beast, and if original rumors are still true there should be [the now] iPhone 5 (originally thought to be v.6) in early summer. So if you upgrade now you won't be able to upgrade then.

Only thing that im jelly about is the wireless HDMI mirroring. Everything else you can pretty much get elsewhere.

If they wouldn't have waited so long I think they would have kept me and other 3gs users...but I don't see myself getting another iOS device at this rate.
