Well, got my 4S and all i can say is... A5 processor <3

I'm a little weirded out still that my phone is showing 3G and not H+. Anyone find out anything about that? Google isn't helping.

I want to pick one up so bad but I cant until december, which means it would push my eligibilty for the 5 out to feb/march of 2013.

Kinda hoping to just hold out until the 5.


I honestly havent noticed a HUGE difference in speed between my 4 and the 4s, but siri <3. is siri a piece of hardware or is there anyway to jailbreak your iphone4 and get it on there?

The next phone should be the 6, right?

1st gen: iPhone
2nd gen: iPhone 3g
3rd gen: iPhone 3gs (iOS3)
4th gen: iPhone 4 (iOS4)
5th gen: iPhone 4s (iOS5)
6th gen: iPhone 6 (iOS6)?

It would be the 6th, but it could be called the 5.

Why would it be called the 5? It doesn't really fit. There's nothing "5" about it.

4 > 4s > 6 consumers will get confused. 5 makes more sense from a marketing standpoint even if it is the 6th generation.

The fact that the 4s is the 4s and not the 5 makes me think there will be a 5.

But like the 3gs, the 4s is still the same device as its predecessor with different guts. It's likely going to bring iOS6 as well as having the A6 processor.

iOS5 is really great. It adds tons of functionality to the phone so I would def update. Phone is ugly as hell using base OS though

Read back what I posted a little bit ago. Right now, no option for Siri on 4. They are obviously looking into it. It's not compiled only for 4s version of A5, so that gives hope it can be used on the iPhone 4. Bad news, as of now, they don't even see a way to start the process without getting into piracy issues, which the Dev-Team will not do. I can tell you from earlier posts they had, it's without a doubt nowhere near as simple as "flipping a switch" in the OS and turning it on.

Got my 4s, but getting about the same speeds as my 4 did on 3g. Wondering where the promise of 4g speeds is at. Seeing some people on reddit getting 4mbps+ speeds off networks, but im only hitting about 1.5 on AT&T and about 12mbps on wifi. =/

Upgrading from my 3GS so I'm excited to actually have a 4th gen iPhone.

Also look at that guy's 2nd post though. When trying to access Siri he was hitting network issues and hashtagged that it still isn't there yet. But it's a good start for sure. Other question though is did he have to use piracy to get this far. If yes, he can't release it (legally)
