Yeah, it'll be illegal to run Siri on the iPhone 4 which is why the guy who's working on it won't release it.
Regardless of what you do you have to spoof packets to allow the server to let you send Siri commands. Which will make it of the questionable legality.
I kind of wanted the 4S, but I had been exploring other options (Current 3GS user). After reading a few reports, I think that personally I am going to wait. From what I've been hearing (whether it's true remains to be seen) Steve Jobs was working on the plans for the iPhone 5 before his death, which is rumored to be a complete redesign with a 4 inch screen, Quad Core processor (A6), but only boasting 3G and not 4G/LTE which makes some sense because Apple considers battery life to be one of their primary concerns. Also, the new A6 processor has been in the news lately because of the whole Samsung vs Apple court battles, and Apple's eagerness to switch to TSMC for their processor supplier. The only problem is that TSMC hasn't been able to stabilize the process as of yet, and with the iPad 3 rumored to be released sometime in Q2 of 2012, Apple is more than likely going to stick with Samsung until TSMC can get their stuff together.
I've had my (black) Vulcan for a bit over a year now and to me it's the perfect mix between protection and accessibility. Since it's not bulky at all, doesn't catch lint (unlike the Defender) and isn't a pain in the butt to get out of your pants pocket. Also it comes with mic and dock protectors...so yeah. Overall one of the better cases out there, imo.
They're, as far as I can tell, not anti-glare.
How much does anyone think i can sell my 4.2.1 jailbroken 16GB 3GS black on ebay? Battery's a bit worn out already. =\
the phone's been in the case forever and i'm planning to sell it w/ the case and anti-glare screen protector. So there's not a single cosmetic blemish on the phone.
You might get anywhere from $75-$150 but it's really difficult to say. Since customers can get an iPhone 3GS on AT&T for free with a 2 year contract, it kind of kills the potential for a high sale at times. But there are always going to be people out there that will buy it.
Nitsuki should be able to get 120-155 for their iPhone 3GS from Gazelle.com right now. They ship you a box, you put it in the mail and they cut you a check or deposit the cash into your Paypal account. Relative just got 160 for their iPhone 3GS so they could do a iPhone 4S upgrade. He said that it was easy and simple. Also said they sent the check pretty fast too.
Gazelle tells me i can get $145 in flawless external condition, which pretty much fits the criteria for my phone. Only thing I worry about is my battery etc they would just shoot down the price at me, and i don't even know if they would do the same shit if it was jailbroken, if anything i can easily just ship it out w/ iOS5 non jailbroken and that's that. I'm also wondering and i'm sure they'll take the phone first then give you the money or vice versa?
but $145 from gazelle w/ no fees compared to $170 BEFORE paypal/ebay fees, which would be preferred?
I kinda would like to get the money as fast as possible from gazelle, and i can probably net a little extra money selling my otterbox impact case separate.
Take the gazelle offer then. Return on ebay would probably be 150ish, and after the posting hassle and the wait, wouldn't be worth it.
Finally got an iPhone.....
32GB iPhone 4, got it for $250 from a friend and am getting a pretty good deal on the plan through work. $30/month. woo
I came in my pants:

Siri, legally, no need to jailbreak....gotta think it won't take long for Apple to just introduce it on their own not long after.
Not believing until i see proofs
I think Apple won't release Siri for other phones/devices simply because they want to sell more iPhone 4S's. Who knows though.
